On the calm sea, a giant silver ship sailed slowly, leaving long waves trailing behind it.
On the port side of the ship, several enormous fishing rods extended out over the water, their hooks dangling lazily into the sea.
"Carent! I've bet 1,000 Berries—I swear I'll catch a bigger fish than you!"
Behind one of the rods, Asaq bumped shoulders with Carent and said smugly.
"Yeah? I don't believe it! I'm definitely going to catch something bigger than yours!" Carent shot back.
The two laughed and joked, then turned toward Jiguo Yuanyi, who was quietly fishing beside them.
"Mr. Yuanyi, want to make a bet too?" asked Asaq.
Yuanyi gave a faint smile, politely refusing.
"I'll pass. I'm not very good at fishing."
Asaq and Carent were used to Yuanyi's reserved nature by now. After all, they had traveled together long enough to understand each other's habits.
So, they dropped the banter and turned their focus back to their fishing rods.
This massive silver ship was the Kamui Pirates' vessel, having just departed from the Kingdom of Fagor.
Besides those on the deck fishing, the rest of the crew were busy with their own activities.
Popron was on duty at the lookout atop the Angel of Redemption.
Gojo Satoru lay in a beach chair on the deck, casually sunbathing.
Bang (Silver Fang) was training alongside Vians and Illya.
Tatsumaki (Tornado of Terror) and Hashirama watched the training, killing time.
The rest of the crew were similarly engaged in whatever interested them.
Suddenly—
"Ah! I got one!" Kent shouted excitedly, eyes wide.
The buoy on his rod bobbed up and down violently.
He quickly grabbed the rod and started reeling it in with force.
But he felt resistance—a powerful tug holding it back.
Sensing the weight, Kent shouted in delight at Asaq beside him.
"Hahaha! Asaq! I'm winning this bet for sure! This one's at least fifty or sixty pounds!"
Asaq scowled, annoyed by Kent's gloating, but there was nothing he could do. He simply glared at Kent's line and muttered under his breath.
"Break... Break... Break already!"
As if on cue, the fishing line snapped!
Asaq immediately burst into laughter and pointed mockingly.
"Looks like someone's losing those Berries today!"
Kent stared in frustration at the broken line in his hands, then glared at the smug Asaq next to him.
He clenched his fists, tempted to punch him—until something strange happened.
The once calm sea suddenly surged!
The Angel of Redemption, which had been sailing smoothly, began to rock violently!
A massive shadow appeared beneath the water, just off the ship's port side.
Before anyone could react, a monstrous figure burst from the ocean's surface—directly beside the ship!
The sheer size of the creature caused the Angel of Redemption to nearly capsize.
"Damn it! A Sea King?!!" Asaq shouted, thrown to the deck by the violent motion.
Kent clung to the railing to stay upright and stared in shock.
A massive Sea King had emerged, with giant horns curling from its head. Its visible body alone was nearly twenty times the size of their ship!
While the crew had seen Sea Kings before during their trip to Fish-Man Island, this was the first time they had encountered one up close.
Kent and Asaq gulped nervously.
The disturbance drew the attention of Kronos and the others below deck, who quickly rushed outside.
But after confirming that it was only one Sea King, the crew relaxed a little.
After all, with powerhouses like Asaq, Popron, Kent, Vians, and Illya on board—who among them couldn't one-shot a Sea King?
"Isn't this supposed to be a shallow sea? How the hell did a Sea King show up here?!" Carent muttered as he stepped back from the railing, trying to calm himself.
Unbeknownst to him, the Sea King had appeared because the fish he nearly caught had been hunted by it. The broken line was no accident—it was snapped by this predator.
Now, the horned Sea King eyed the ship with amusement.
Its massive eyes gleamed with malice. With a slow motion, it raised one fin, preparing to smash the ship and sink it beneath the waves.
This wasn't the first time it had destroyed a human vessel for fun.
To the Sea King, it was like stepping on an ant.
But this time, the "ants" were stronger than expected.
Just as the fin was about to crash down on the Angel of Redemption—
Jiguo Yuanyi moved.
Carent only felt a gust of hot wind rush past him.
Yuanyi had vanished from his side in an instant.
With a flash of crimson light, the fiery red blade was drawn—and in one clean slash, the massive fin was severed!
It spun through the air and crashed into the sea with a splash.
Before the Sea King could even register what had happened, Yuanyi's sword slashed its entire body in a single motion.
In the blink of an eye, Jiguo Yuanyi stood back on the deck.
His sun-blade had already been sheathed.
Only a crisp ding rang out as the katana slid fully into the scabbard.
And with that final sound, the Sea King collapsed.
Its enormous body slammed into the sea, creating a colossal wave!
Fortunately, Tatsumaki acted quickly—her psychic powers formed an invisible barrier, keeping the Angel of Redemption stable amid the turbulence.
"That was incredible! Mr. Yuanyi cut that thing down like it was nothing!"
"Right?! We haven't had Sea King meat in a while. Looks like we've got fresh sashimi for dinner tonight!" Kent and Asaq cheered, their fear quickly replaced by excitement.
But just as everyone was starting to relax...
Kronos narrowed his eyes slightly and spoke in a calm voice from the deck:
"Don't get too comfortable. We've still got guests to entertain."
