Alaric hasn't pushed Lenore about asking the Temple for help. He took her with him for the inspection—which needed to be done anyway, and he'd put it off for far too long already—so she could interact with the clergy who run the Temple in Barrowmere. While he's glad that the trip is over with, he's not sure that it helped Lenore decide if she wanted to seek help from them.
To Alaric, it doesn't matter if she wants that help or not. It's a risk to even try digging into the secrets of her mark with divine power from the priests, and it's been so long since he knew somebody who had the mark, he's not sure how much they would even be able to tell by using their powers. He just wanted to give her the option, having seen how much the appearance of the mark and the lack of knowledge they have about it left her anxious.
