Lu's POV
I stepped into the portal after exchanging words of good will with my friends, I saw Sophia step in first her portal closing behind her, Amara smiled at me and nodded expectantly, we hadn't really talked much since we came to this gathering; but that's fine at least i for one know i could restrain myself from the constant gossiping.i saw her heave as she walked into her own portal with a zap it closed behind her, i walked in last totally blind, without activating my magic, i think it was out of my curiosity of what my opponent was like... Although i did believe that it would be a relatively simple task to take them out, no sweat broken, but boy was i wrong...
The moment i stepped into the designated space for my brawl i was immediately hit with an insane amount of magic pressure, A pressure so intense that i immediately sprawled on the floor, my chest tightening it felt a big house had crashed on me and because i hadn't activated my magic earlier like everyone was doing around me, i couldn't withstand the authority. There was someone this powerful in second year and i was eager to know who.
'my my my i was hoping for more' said a strangely soothing voice, i had suddenly forgotten about the rightness in my chest, was this a spell? That was all i could ask my self.
'You know, i was told that you were one of the most powerful students in this school and you were one of the ones that would be responsible for the final defeat of demons but to say i am disappointed will be an exaggeration' Added the soothing voice, i looked up to find the source of this voice and was struck with the most fantastic yet terrifying sight of my life, it was a mer man, a half fish - half human in person. I thought i was going crazy but there it was floating before me, it's tail moving gently, i suspected that he used it to keep himself floating.
But it then dawned on me, what else was half fish, half man again? Dagon the demon of the sea, i looked again the tightening in my chest surfacing again, i was still kneeling on the floor, his tail was perpetually multicoloured with hints of black around it, i found this offsetting and overstimulating his crimson red eyes staring me down. What will i do now? Was what i could think to myself at that moment and that was when i mustered the courage, i had to try something...if i could just reach for my magic within me maybe...i might put up a fight.
'Whats the matter? Can't fight?' he growled, his voice no more soothing, and with one great swipe of his tail i was flying across the vicinity, i crashed on the floor, my back was hurting but i wasn't injured.
'What a shame..i was thinking i would have fun before i killed you...but oh well we can't have everything that we want now right??' he said his voice soothing, he was quite distant from me now, thanks to the force of his tail which trashed me away.
'Now..Die' he said, i saw him conjure a trident out of thin air, it seemed to me that it was made of water but a quick hiss hardened the rode. It was now smoking with ice and was ready to go meet its target, he swayed his hands back and then front, the trident flying towards me with a great gust of air and speed in a moment i will be darted to the floor if i didn't do something...and that was when i heard it ...a voice, a female voice Strong and commanding respect
'Do something you are a blessed witch, do not die like this you have enough power to give this demon a fright'
Note: for the fight seen i will be moving out of Lu's pov, to give a better reading experience.*
Lu's eyes shone, a bright pink, his pink eyes getting pinker, he was emitting a dark blue glow out of his body, his aura heightening
'Nature's shield' he said, instantly a wall of vine materialised before him covering his figure, the trident collided with it , it spinned uncontrollably trying to break through but after a few attempt, it suddenly shattered, Lu had nullified the demon's attack.
'Oh, that's what i am talking about' Dagon said smiling, Lu didn't speak, he was now standing his hands clenched beside him, he was ready to take this demon down.
'Now then Lunare, let's see who will die at the end now shall we!!' Dagon added, he was no more maintaining his soothing voice, he was now loud and excessively sticking out his slit like tongue, he was now exuding savagery.
He raised his hands another trident materialized, like before it instantly freezed up with a hiss , he swerved and it came flying towards it's target lu, Lu simply reinforced the vines, he stood behind the vines that shielded him, another hit came, and another and again, the vine shield finally cracking open, lu decided to send his own attack, There were many bases to nature, nature doesn't technically mean flowers and trees, nature also meant wind...animals..the sun...death...and Lu had a grasp of these he immediately sent a wind blast towards the demon, but it was instantly blocked by a wall of water that Dagon had materialized from no where, the Water in a swift separated into smaller particles and formed spikes that yet again freezed up and went rushing towards Lu, mind you through this fight none of them had dared cover the distance between them...Lu formed the vine walls again and blocked the attack, he raised his hands and a dark blue orb materialized on his palm, it stretched off like strings as if trying to escape his grasp, these extensions began to form silhouettes of different animals, a bear, then a tiger, then a stag and then a large bird that seemed to be an eagle, they all maintained thier dark blue color but they were now able to touch and be touched, without an instruction from Lu, they zoomed off towards Dagon leaving behind a heavy gust of wind, Dagon fought these animals each attack confirming thier realness.
He yelled, and for the first time since the fight started, he was now sounding like a real demon. In a flash, the animal silhouettes dissolved into thin air, Dagon was now radiating more magic than ever, it threatened to even break out of this space but Lu wasn't afraid he wasn't sprawling on the floor this time around, he was standing him too was radiating his own amount of energy, thier auras clashing together, Dagon was now taking a more sinister form, Spikes were erupting from his body and his pretty tail was now covered in a dark colour, his nails growing, his teeth sharp and fangy.
'No, i am not allowing that' Lu muttered, he stepped forward covering a little distance to his target. 'You need to understand, i am far more powerful than you will ever be' he boasted, as he clasped his hands together as if in a prayer.
'Now then...' he said as his aura deepened from dark blue to a more darker colour, he was now emitting far more magic than Dagon and the demon himself was feeling this and that was why he was preparing a counter spell too.
'I call on the force of nature, i call on Death , sieze my opponent and return him to hell from whence he came, THANATOS AĒR!!' Lu exclaimed as a great gust of wind flowed towards Dagon.
Dagon who had already caught glimpse of this, tore a hole in space using his fingers, he flew through it and shut it immediately, he had escaped from the attack, Lu snapped his fingers dispersing the spell.
'That's wierd , i thought he wouldn't escape it ' he said as he gazed at the space where Dagon had once positioned himself.
A portal opened and a tall girl came in, she immediately slumped on the floor, suppressed by Lu's overwhelming power.
'You win' she whispered to herself.
