Rome, ITALY
The Vatican city, a medium expanse of historical, religious and mythological exploration. The place that houses the pope; the most important personality in the church and also a home to the Sistine chapel and the Basilica of St Paul too.
To the Normal individual; humans, tourists, pilgrims and others who fit into the general idea of "normalcy" it's a sight of astonishment and captivity as it's sense of history and originality is still maintained even in this era of change but to the weird alternatives it's the perfect place to catch a lot of strange phenomenons including the sighting of an angel.
The trio walked in through the little country's gate after verifying thier tolls and tickets; it was literally impossible for them to force thier way in using magic, all forms of mystic activity are automatically dispelled once you came in contact with the air of the city, it's shielding was strong, the most powerful in the world of mysteries in fact.
'That is crazy, i can literally feel my magic fading' Lu said as he looked at his hands.
' I would expect such from the famed Vatican city, it's shielding has been refined for over 5000 years, it has had numerous numbers of supernatural figures pour power into it and that includes Mona Lisa and even numerous angels' Sophia said wallowing in her own intelligence, the other two only caught a hand full of the information but inwardly concluded the powerfulness of the city's defense system.
'I don't reckon a Demon will be here of all places considering how powerful the shielding is' Amara said, voicing out her thoughts.
'We sill have to see' said Lu.
They walked forward, going towards nowhere in particular but admiring the beauty of the place from the statute s built by the Micheal Angelo himself to the relics mounted in the sorrounding vicinity. While they were inspecting the branded, autographed( by Micheal Angelo himself) statue of Mary and Jesus they heard the stomps of footsteps behind them, it sound like a march but they exchanged glances at each other and unanimously decided to ignore it but when the march sounded closer than ever and came to halt, possibly behind them; they turned to see what was going on. They were met with an intriguing spectacle that they, including Sophia found it funny.
It was a bunch of uniformed people, preferrably a platoon or army seemingly by looking at thier mannerisms. They dressed like they were in the Renaissance era, they wore tunics striped in red, dark blue, and yellow and a high plumed helmet; and carried a sword in a pouch designated for weapon keeping, it was located beside thier waists, their swords sheathed.
'Uhm who are you guys?' Lu asked distressed.
'Swiss soldiers' Sophia replied immediately
'They are the protectors of this city' she added, looking at the bunch enthusiastically.
'We have been expecting you Amara, Lunare and Sophia of the Aracnum Academy' said one of the men, he qas standing upfront and had a star embroidered on the breast area of his top, no other individual in the group had these so it was unconsciously suggested that he was a leader of some sort.
'You have??!' Lunare shrieked excitingly.
'Yes the pope has been expecting you three' he added.
'Now, come with me please' The bunch of soldiers turned around and marched forward leading the trio to the resident of the pope, The Apostolic palace.
It was an outstanding piece of Mediaeval Architecture, untainted by the Emergen trends of the century, A large complex with numerous rooms.
'Whoa!' Lu gasped, clutching his hands over his open mouth. Amara smiled, Sophia simply scoffed, after walk around inside the structure for shat felt like an eternity, they arrived at the pope's wing, it was a simple set up surprisingly to the trio.
'Please go in' the starred soldier said as he ushered them in, into what looked like a Traven,it was quite underwhelming and nerve wracking, so much for the leader of the largest christian jurisdiction in the world, there were Reverend fathers somewhere living better than this. This was the pope's room, one of the many rooms that contained in the pope's wing. They stepped into the place, it was a warm feeling as if walking into a bonfire during a cold night, Sophia winced and gasped grabbing her forehead.
'What's happening' Lu and Amara asked in unison as they moved closer to her, examining her face.
'It's my head it's throbbing for some reason' she whispered, wincing in pain, they moved closer touching around her face aimlessly.
'MALIS FINIBUS INIS' a voice sounded, it was a weak resolution of sound, it was gritty, fading and cracking a sound that only belonged to the seriously aged. they all looked up and saw an old man, he had a hunch back from all the aging and was quite short, he wore a black regalia bonded with a red bald cap to go, his hands were slightly shaking as he held up an oil lamp, it wasn't particularly dark so it struck the trio as a mystery.
The Swiss soldiers bowed and shut the door behind them, leaving them with the man.
'Evil ends here' he added, gazing at them with an eyes one could barely see as it was clouded with the shades of his loosed skin.
'Your friend, there is something wrong with her..this is a simple spell that keeps Evil out of here.
'It's the Demon powers of Nebuchadnezzar' Sophia said between gasps, her head banging.
'My my she really absorbed the demon?' the man added. He put hands into the pocket of his regalia and fished out a cross necklace.
'Fly' he said as he left the cross it flew across the room , floating directly to Sophia's chest.
'Wear it, it keeps the Demon in check'he said as Sophia reluctantly accepted the gift, putting it on; the pain instantly sized.
'Who are you?' Sophia asked skeptical.
'You can call me Visius; I serve as the Leader of Vatican city, Pope of the church'
