'You are the pope? Like literally the pope?!' Lu shrieked as he asked the old man.
'Obviously' Sophia answered displeased by Lu's lack of composure. Classic Lunare the over extra friend of the group.
'Yes, young warlock' said the the old man as he went to sit down on the bed in the room, which was situated by the only window in the room.
The Pope's living condition was certainly a big downgrade from an outsider's expectations, one thing was evident though, they were extremely powerful.
'Do all popes posesss your kind of powers?' Amara asked after what felt like an enternity of scilence, she had noticed that Pope visius posessed an energy similar to that of witchcraft.
'No, only me' he answered meekly.
'So that means...' but before Amara could finish speaking, Sophia jumped in to hit the mark.
'That the pope is of Witch origin?' Lu gasped, the Pope simply smiled in response.
'Yes, i am a witch, a traditional magic user to be exact' he said looking specifically at Amara.
Turns out 60 years ago Pope visius, migrated from the 'Mother land' to Europe, on the search for a path for himself in the world, one thing led to another he had a divine encounter with the Creator and decided to delve into the ways of the church, resorting to him abandoning his former life and his former way of magic and channelling holy magic only, he quickly rose through ranks and became the pope in 20 years of his doctrineship. This is his 40th year of being Pope.
'Wow, i am quite impressed' Sophia said after the Pope had finished narrating his past.
'I agree' Lu said and Amara simply nodded in agreement.
'Now for the main reason we are here, the Demons' the pope said, his tone now lowered to indicate his seriousness.
'Has any of them escaped?' Sophia asked immediately.
'Yes, one has. Report just came last week that it was Judas the betrayer' lu gasped.
'Do you know the Caliber of Cardinal demons that locked up down in those catacombs?' The trio unanimously shaked thier head in ignorance.
'The Vatican city, as you know is the most targeted place by the evil forces within and beyond this realm, every day there is a constant fight between good and evil and all this is concerning the infiltration of this good city. And this was the case thousands of years ago when there was a highten of demonic activites in the church.... THE ERA OF TAINTED SAINTS, during this time, the church was undergoing a very big problem of corruption as priests were indulging in things of the flesh, the Pope himself had his hands tainted with blood and all, it was also at this time that canaonisation was done randomly to the undeserving People. All this negative energy in a holy place built up and from there a big gate of hell opened up in the catacombs of the Vatican. There all sorts of vile escaped including the 13 Cardinal demons. The devil infiltrated the church and bit by bit it began to dwindle turning into something it wasn't until the intervention of a power house in the past mellenia'
The pope paused, he looked at the trio, they were keenly listening. Then he continued.
'Now kids, you need to understand that there were three gates made to lock the demons out of this world, there was the caves in Australia, coincidentally close to the Garden of Eden, there was the Tomb of Lazarus which your school is built upon and the catacombs of the city. With the help of Lisa we were able to seal away Eight less threatening ones of great power but yet still catchable. Out of these Demons, Four posed a very big problem for them. Belzeebub the Lord of flies, Cain the wandering demon, Judas the betrayer and the prince of Persia the fallen angel. It took divine intervention to take them back straight to hell. Lilth simply left of her own Accord' The pope sighed signalling the end of his tale.
'When was the barrier put up?' Sophia asked sternly as she caressed her crucifix necklace.
'Long ago, but it was super reinforced right after the banishing of the demons'
'So that means...' Lu asked genuinely.
'The barrier was reinforced to keep the demons in, but somehow Judas found a way to override this great magic' Sophia said, she was now pacing mildly around the small room.
'Yes and that brings me to our sole purpose of this meeting, finding what went wrong with the barrier'
The pope said. The trio exchanged looks with each other and broke into a soft chuckle,the pope looked at them, something was funny and he wanted to find out what it was.
'Can you please enlighten me on what the punchline was?' he asked.
'Have you contacted the school about the same exact situation?' Amara asked beaming sarcastically.
'yes, that's why they sent you three'
'We know nothing about barriers' Sophia said.
Just as they were conversing, a large white circle sphere opened up mid space, a woman floated out, a famalilier one, it was Lilith.
'oh lilith, what a pleasant surprise' the pope said, The trio later discovered that the pope was Acquintances with her as she had been giving him reports on the activities of the Demons in the nether realm(HELL)
'There is a bit of a problem now... it's Azazel he is trying to break free' she said dramatically failing to acknowledge the presence of the trio, who were staring bewildered.
'I see' the pope grunted.
'I hope the world is ready for what is to come' she said as she dramatically floated backwards into the glowing sphere disregarding the trio entirely.
'It's time for a creation of the Lisa of our time, Amara I hope you are ready for what is to come'
