He said it, then sent them straight into the Map of Heaven and Earth.
The Map of Heaven and Earth was a sealed space. You couldn't log off from there, and there was no way to contact the outside, so he wasn't worried about Jack pulling any tricks.
Then he summoned Atlas and the other two as well. "Sir, someone's calling you in real life." they said. "Something must have happened."
"Alright, let's log off and see." They hadn't left the game in a long time, so they agreed at once.
