Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 Helian Yi

"Thank you, Grandpa." Lu Xingzhi hadn't heard such words for a long time, and Huo Qiyuan's words moved her somewhat.

These past few years, she had been living alone, not really feeling bitter. But often, she still missed her lost relatives.

Returning to Huo Jincheng's villa, as soon as she walked in, she saw a strange man sitting on the sofa.

He had messy pink short hair, delicate features, and wore two earrings in his left ear. He was in an exaggerated black skull T-shirt with ripped jeans on the bottom.

She seemed to have seen him somewhere before.

Upon seeing Lu Xingzhi, Helian Yi stood up from the sofa, openly sizing her up. "Are you Lu Xingzhi? My third brother's fiancée?"

"Little Yi!" Huo Jincheng's voice was a bit stern, "This is your third sister-in-law, don't be so rude."

Lu Xingzhi didn't know who he was, but she could sense that he didn't like her.

There was disdain in his eyes.

She glanced at Huo Jincheng; the confusion in those eyes was clear to both men — she didn't recognize Helian Yi.

"You don't recognize me?"

"You don't even know me?" Helian Yi looked at Lu Xingzhi strangely, raising an eyebrow, "Where did you come from, some small mountain village?"

Lu Xingzhi didn't understand where his hostility was coming from, nor did she want to know who he was, she just wanted to return to her room.

Huo Jincheng shot a warning look at Helian Yi before saying to Lu Xingzhi, "He's Helian Yi, my cousin. His temperament is just like that, don't mind him."

"Oh!" Lu Xingzhi nodded knowingly; this was probably to defend his cousin, right! She didn't want to be involved in their matters, so she said to Huo Jincheng, "I'll head back to my room then."

"Go ahead!"

In the hall, Helian Yi's gaze became a bit more serious, "Third brother, do you really want to marry this Lu Xingzhi?"

"Of course it's real." Huo Jincheng sat down, "Why did you suddenly come over?"

"Aren't I worried that you're marrying some village girl who appeared out of nowhere from a little mountain village?" Helian Yi squinted his eyes, full of disdain.

"Little Yi!" Huo Jincheng's eyebrows became a bit colder, his voice thin and serious, "She and I have a marriage contract, she is my fiancée."

"But how does this Lu Xingzhi deserve you? She's just relying on the fact her grandfather once saved our grandfather. Obviously, you and Sister Xinzhi are the most compatible; she's always been..."

Before Helian Yi could finish, he was stopped by Huo Jincheng.

"Helian Yi, there's something you must understand. Whether or not Lu Xingzhi is my fiancée, I will never like Shen Xinzhu, let alone marry her. If you say such things again, my home won't welcome you."

Huo Jincheng's deep eyes swept over like a sharp blade, catching Helian Yi off guard, making him shiver, his blood seemed to freeze.

Yes, how could he forget that Huo Jincheng, though outwardly praised as a gentleman, warm and gentle.

There's an intrinsic coldness and indifference in him.

Yet, he still wanted to speak a few words for Shen Xinzhu.

"Brother Jin, but Sister Xinzhu has liked you for so many years. For you..."

"That's her business, it has nothing to do with me." Huo Jincheng's attitude was very clear, and very cold. After speaking, he already stood up, "You should go back! If there's nothing in the future, don't come to me."

Helian Yi actually also understood, he just wanted to fight a bit for Shen Xinzhu.
