Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 Demons Are Ultimately Demons

He had already given her a chance, one she refused. He admitted that the bloodthirsty urge within him was surging uncontrollably, all because of this woman intent on opposing him. But she should understand she is not a match for him.

He gestured to the man standing beside him, who appeared before her like lightning. She panicked and tried to escape, but the man swiftly restrained her hands. He took out a cold metallic object from his pocket and toyed with it in his hand; Sophie focused her gaze—it was a pair of handcuffs.

What exactly do they intend to do? Do they really plan to imprison her?

Asher Land took the handcuffs from his subordinate, his eyes showing a hint of amusement.

"This is the consequence of your disobedience."

He smiled wickedly and cuffed the cold, hard thing onto her slender wrists.

It's over, she's truly done for this time!

Without mercy, he grabbed her long hair and picked up a wine bottle from the table with his other hand. He slowly raised the bottle, pouring the crimson liquid over her head, soaking much of her clothing.

In desperation, she closed her eyes.

"Want to beg me?" He looked down at her, scrutinizing.

Sophie turned her head away; these hours for her were nothing short of a nightmare, throwing her from Heaven straight into Hell.

He was still the same as four years ago, a demon is always a demon.

Asher Land frowned in displeasure; this woman was stubborn to the core. Didn't she know that if she were willing to beg for mercy, he might consider letting her go? But she insisted on defying him repeatedly.

He let out a cold laugh and tossed the wine bottle to the ground.

"This woman is yours; do with her as you please," he said to Sam Chapman standing not far off.

Clearly, he was speaking cruel words, yet his voice was always so calm, his face showing no emotion.

"Thanks, thanks President Land." Sam Chapman revealed a lascivious look; he wouldn't miss the opportunity. Sophie, with her clean and delicate face, wasn't a stunning beauty, but her appeal was like a graceful orchid, feeling very pleasant.

"Asher Land, you bastard, you have no right to do this!"

She knows his name?

Asher Land frowned. He rarely appeared in the media, and he couldn't recall meeting such a person, yet she knew his name?

However, as the Executive President of the Golden Era Consortium, it wasn't surprising that someone might know his name.

"Asher Land, you're a disgusting, shameless bastard!"

She couldn't find any words to express her hatred for him. She cursed liberally, as if only this would ease the resentment in her heart.

Dare to curse him? Good.

"What are you waiting for?" Asher Land signaled with his eyes to Sam Chapman, "If you want to play, seize the opportunity; maybe next moment, I'll give her to another man."

The people around were jeering, which only fueled Sam Chapman's strong desire. He raised his head, seemingly wanting to show his so-called manly side to the crowd.

"No!" Sophie, with her hands bound, couldn't resist. In desperation, she kicked toward Sam Chapman, but he intercepted her.

"Damn girl! Watch how I teach you a lesson; dare to offend President Land, you've got a death wish!"

In the struggle, her clothes were already disheveled, her messy hair stuck to her face, making her look extremely haggard. She was like a clown performing a ludicrous farce before them.
