Summer Sutton felt terrible, distractedly watching the news, like a defeated rooster.
"In a bad mood?" Adrian Walyon asked knowingly.
"Getting involved with you for no reason, can my mood be good?" Summer Sutton answered irritably.
Adrian Walyon knew she wasn't telling the truth but didn't hold it against her.
"Something on your mind?" Adrian Walyon asked again.
He had a gut feeling that it wasn't as simple as what had just happened.
Summer Sutton slumped her head, ignoring him.
"Were you bullied?" Adrian Walyon asked again.
"Are you going to help me bully them back?" Summer Sutton raised her face in response.
She was actually defying him, never expecting Adrian Walyon wouldn't take her words as a joke.
