Early in the morning, Mu Yan hurried Jiang Jingheng off to work.
"Why are you always sticking around at home with me? I'm not a child. I don't need you to accompany me, and I have serious things to do too."
Jiang Jingheng couldn't win against Mu Yan and eventually went to the company, but he asked Yu Ma to keep Mu Yan company.
As soon as he left, the house fell into silence.
Mu Yan clipped the flower stems, inserting them into a vase as she went.
Yu Ma looked at the colorful flowers in the vase and praised, "Young Madam, you have such skill. The flowers look really beautiful."
"Not too bad," Mu Yan smiled as she inserted the last stem, adjusted it, and placed it in the center of the coffee table.
She turned to Yu Ma and said, "Yu Ma, go about your business. You don't need to stay with me."
"That's not possible; the young master gave me instructions," Yu Ma replied.
The two of them sat there awkwardly, exchanging glances.
