When Brandan stepped out of the car, he was still carrying the mousse cake he had just bought.
He had taken a detour to buy the cake because the usual shop didn't have blueberry mousse cake, so he went to another one and waited for the chef to make it before driving back.
"Put it in the fridge."
He handed the cake to the maid who walked over, glanced at the hall, and casually asked, "Where's Iris?"
"Miss Harris went upstairs at noon and hasn't come down."
The maid replied respectfully.
"Oh..."
Brandan nodded and walked upstairs.
Iris's attitude today has left him inexplicably excited all afternoon.
How long has it been since he's seen her smile at him?
He thought he would only ever see her cold face for the rest of his life, but reality tells him that maybe it won't be long before they might reconcile.
Efforts are not without reward; you see, her attitude towards him has improved a lot, hasn't it?
