Chapter 3 - Chapter 001 The So-Called Beloved_2

Seeing him take a glance at the cello on her back, Su Wan nodded, "Mm."

He reached into his pocket to take out his car keys: "Then let me take you! My car just happens to..."

"No need." Su Wan frowned slightly, cutting him off coldly, not giving him another chance to speak, and left the teaching building with Yao Ye without looking back.

"..."

As for Gu Ming, Su Wan didn't dislike him, but she definitely didn't like him.

"Hahaha..."

Su Wan stopped in her tracks, staring straight at Yao Ye, who was laughing so hard she was doubling over: "..."

The latter hooked her arm around Su Wan's neck again: "Wanwan... hahaha... Wanwan... do you know why Xu Chengyang and I love you so much?"

"..."

"Your 'worldly affairs, love has nothing to do with me' attitude is absolutely incredible! You should have seen Gu Ming's utterly crushed expression, it was really something! Hahaha!"

Su Wan smiled, "You're too kind."

Yao Ye coughed lightly a couple of times, unable to stifle her laughter, her shoulders shaking as she draped an arm over Su Wan's shoulders: "Wanwan, on a serious note, have you really not considered Gu Ming? Isn't that guy quite decent?" She spread out her fingers to count, "You see, he's good-looking, wealthy, and an honor student. In our predominantly female music academy, he's really quite exceptional."

Upon hearing this, Su Wan paused momentarily, her tone calm and unhurried: "Why not go for it yourself?"

Yao Ye wrinkled her nose and shivered: "Ew... let's not... such a man, I can't handle him." She then extended an index finger to lift Su Wan's chin playfully, "The one who truly captures my heart is still only you, Su beauty."

Su Wan tilted her chin, lowering her eyes to stare at her finger, softly cooperating, "Emperor, would you like to return to the palace?"

Yao Ye burst into laughter, raising her hand to hug Su Wan's shoulder: "Come, beloved consort, let's roam the rivers and mountains together!"

Su Wan: "..."

At twenty-two, Su Wan found relationships to be something unfamiliar.

If it were said that one must fall in love three times in a lifetime to be considered complete, Su Wan believed that once would be enough. Although this notion was often made a joke of by Yao Ye and Xu Chengyang, Su Wan always viewed men and love with caution and contemplation.

Yao Ye's "little lamb" scooter stopped in front of the wrought iron gate of a duplex. After taking off her helmet and placing it on the e-bike, Su Wan shouldered her cello and advised, "Be careful on your way back."

Yao Ye waved her small hand: "Don't worry! Remember, you have a wedding performance tonight!"

Su Wan nodded: "Mm... Miss Fu's driver will take me there. Drive safely."

Yao Ye started her little lamb scooter: "I'll come with Xu Chengyang to pick you up at the hotel after it ends tonight!" Then pushed the throttle to the max and sped off onto the main road.

The Fu family's grand estate was situated halfway up a hill, a typical European Baroque-style building. Behind the wrought iron gate was a spacious driveway, with neatly trimmed white rose hedge walls on both sides, leading straight to the main entrance of the Fu Mansion.

Su Wan pressed the doorbell beside the wrought iron gate with her index finger, and in a short time, the gate opened slowly and automatically.

After entering the gate, and walking along the hedge for a bit, Su Wan heard the gentle hum of an engine behind her. Turning her head, she saw a luxurious Bentley Flying Spur V8 pass by her slowly.

Through the rear seat window that was a third open, she caught a quick glimpse inside, and there was a young man with his head down.

When Su Wan reached the main entrance of the Fu Mansion, the old butler Vincent was standing by the door, smiling at her. The V8 had already driven away from the main entrance. Su Wan thoughtfully glanced at the V8 heading to the garage, then smiled lightly at the old butler: "Hello, Mr. Wen Sen."

"Miss Su." The old butler greeted politely, the smile on his face deepening: "Our young master has returned."

"Mm..." Being seen through, Su Wan inexplicably felt her cheeks heat up with embarrassment, nervously gripping the hem of her skirt.

Vincent noticed her small action, smiling serenely to comfort her, "Master is a gentleman of considerable manners, Miss Su need not be overly reserved."

Su Wan had heard Miss Fu mention a brother who had lived abroad for over a decade, but she was a little surprised that the legendary second young master of the Fu family would suddenly return to the country. She nodded with a smile, "Thank you—Has Fanfan finished school yet?"

The old butler glanced at his watch and said, "She should be on her way back now. You can rest for a while in the living room."

Su Wan waved her hand, "No need, no need. I'll just head to the music room to practice for a bit."

The old butler kept his smile, "Alright."

This was Su Wan's first job as a cello tutor. By some chance, she met Miss Fu, and after a few interactions, she naturally began teaching Miss Fu's daughter, Ye Fan, the cello. She had been teaching the cello here for over a year, the salary was undeniably excellent, and Ye Fan was a well-behaved and eager learner, a delightful little girl.
