Chapter 28 - The Coming Catastrophe

Far beyond the known stars, at the edge of the universe, lies a realm no mortal can reach — the Seven Cities of Gold. Ruled by seven brotherly gods, each city gleams with divine radiance, their golden roads guarded by countless knights and celestial sentinels. The air hums with pure energy, flowing endlessly through the sacred streets.

Six of these golden cities encircle the seventh — the Core City, where the gods hold their divine council. It is the heart of creation, protected by the others in a perfect celestial formation. Usually, the Core City resounds with music, laughter, and the echo of divine announcements.

But today… there is only silence.

Something ancient — something terrible — has awakened.

The gods sit within their grand palace, their faces grim. The eternal energy of creation, order, and destruction trembles. The flow of space and time itself is disturbed — tainted by a new, darker power rising from the abyss.

Suddenly, a messenger bursts into the hall.

"My lords," he cries, "the greatest catastrophe has returned from the shadows. Its power threatens to shatter the very existence of our universe!"

The eldest god rises, his voice steady but cold.

"Then we fight," he declares. "Until death if we must. The higher gods of Creation, Order, and Destruction will not interfere this time. This is our war — and our duty to protect the cosmos."

---

Meanwhile, in the mortal realm, Ken and Rex sense the coming storm.

Ken turns to the professor. "Rex, who is this almighty enemy? Where is he?"

Rex replies solemnly, "It doesn't matter where he is, Ken. What matters is he's returned. His power bends reality itself — even space and time cannot touch him."

Ken clenches his fists. "Then what can we do? Should we go and face him?"

Rex shakes his head. "Not alone. Not even if you, I, and Lexus combined our full strength. We'll need help — from the gods, and from the Seven Star Human Lords. Only together can we hope to stop him."

Ken nods slowly. "And the mortal realm?"

"Do not fear," Rex says. "This world is guarded by the Seven Mighty Warriors — beings born from the very essence of nature. They are the unseen saviors who protect the mortal realms in silence. When we fought the Dark Dragon Army, they stood with us — though you never saw them. Each one protects a different realm where mortal life exists."

Ken stares in awe. "Why didn't you tell me before?"

Rex smirks. "Because the author hadn't thought of it until now."

Ken blinks. "What?"

Rex waves it off. "Forget it. What matters is this — you are the Eighth Warrior. Your destiny is beyond all realms. You wield two godly weapons: the Ring of Elements, capable of commanding infinite powers, and the Divine Sword of the Universe. You, Ken, are the one who must stand at the front when the final battle comes."

---

Far away, on the Planet of Divine Knowledge, the Seven Star Human Lords sense the same darkness. Gathering in their crystal citadel, they decide to meet the gods themselves. They know that the hero who once defeated the Dark Dragon will need their power once again.

---

Back on Earth, Ken gathers his allies.

"So," he asks, "the Seven Warriors will defend the realms?"

Rex nods. "Yes — but they'll need your energy to reach their full strength."

Just then, Lana, Art, and Zevan arrive.

"Ken," Art says, "we know another storm is coming. Last time, you fought alone while we stood by. This time, we fight with you."

Ken hesitates. "But this time—"

Art cuts him off. "No more 'buts'. We stand together."

Rex smiles faintly. "We'll need them. All of them."

In a flash of light, the group is teleported to Infinity, where Lexus awaits.

He turns, his eyes burning with resolve.

"I knew you'd come, Ken," Lexus says. "The fate of the cosmos depends on us once again."
