Chapter 350 - Chapter 350: Completion

Chapter 350: Completion

~Azure S. POV~

[Johto Region, Next Day, Mt. Silver – Outskirts]

The wind was clean and sharp, biting at the edges of my focus. Below us, the Kanto-Johto border stretched out, a tapestry of rugged peaks and dense, untouched forest—the infamous foothills of Mt. Silver.

I murmured, scratching the scale-thick neck of my Dragonite, "Ready, girl?"

The response was deep and rumbling, vibrating up through my worn boots, "Draooo! (Yup! The usual.)"

Beside me, perched securely on my shoulder, Pikachu let out a determined cry, "Pika! (What crazy idea do you have now…)"

Eevee, nestled snugly atop my head and occasionally tugging at a stray strand of blue hair, chirped softly, her dark eyes wide with curiosity. It had been a busy five years. Five years since I woke up in this strange, beautiful, and dangerous world—the world of Pokémon Adventures.

I had spent that time training, learning, adapting, and winning, yet choosing to remain a ghost in the annals of official League history. Champion titles held little appeal when the endgame involved stabilizing Legendary Pokémon and rewriting destiny.

Yesterday's capture of Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave had been brutal, taxing my limits and forcing me to deploy the ultimate contingency—the Master Ball. But the capture was only the first step of my plan.

The true challenge lay ahead: completing it.

*Thud*

Dragonite descended gracefully, the massive shadow sweeping over the trees. We landed in a secluded clearing, the ancient soil damp underfoot.

The local Wild Pokémon—a few timid Ursaring and perhaps a lurking Donphan—immediately felt the disturbance. I could feel their nervous energy building, their readiness to challenge the intrusion.

One powerful, territorial roar from Dragonite, however, silenced the entire forest. The air pressure dropped, and the sounds of scattering paws and beating wings attested to the swift exodus of the local wildlife.

I said, thankfully, stretching my arms, "Perfect! We need the privacy, big gal."

I moved to the center of the clearing, the sunlight filtering through the canopy illuminating the dew-kissed grass. I reached into my bag, retrieving the Premier Ball—a vessel reserved only for the holiest of partners.

I whispered, pressing the release button, "Ho-Oh. I need your help."

The sky didn't just brighten; it ignited.

*Pop*

Ho-Oh materialized in a blaze of impossible light and color, its magnificent wings stretching wide, trailing an ethereal rainbow arc. The very air around us smelled of ozone and sacred frankincense.

Pikachu and Eevee watched in reverent silence, used to such sights but never failing to be awestruck. Ho-Oh regarded me with silent, knowing eyes that seemed to contain the history of the world.

I began, bowing my head slightly out of respect, asking my partner, "Thank you for coming, Ho-Oh. I have a request, one that requires your unique ability to purify and rebirth."

I laid out my understanding—my meta-knowledge—of Mewtwo's tragic origin. In this world, the cloning attempt had failed due to insufficient Mew cells, leading the Team Rocket scientist Blaine to use his own human cells to bridge the genetic gap.

This created the link: Blaine's life slowly draining while Mewtwo gained destructive intelligence. Although Blaine had purged the link using Entei's Sacred Fire, the result was a Mewtwo that regressed to instinct, losing its memories and purpose.

I explained, meeting Ho-Oh's gaze, my intent for Mewtwo, "I seek to right this wrong. I need the Sacred Fire now to fully cleanse the remaining human genetic residue within Mewtwo. I want to replace those cells, not with an empty void, but with the necessary Mew cells that were once lacking. I want to make Mewtwo whole."

Ho-Oh dipped its crested head, acknowledging the gravity of the task and the purity of my intent. I felt its agreement resonate directly in my mind, 'The bond of tragedy is broken, but the Pokémon itself remains incomplete. I shall grant your request, Rainbow Hero.'

I took a breath, letting the moment settle. I brought out the Master Ball, calling forth, "Come out, Mewtwo."

*Pop*

Mewtwo appeared with a flash, its massive, powerful frame hovering silently above the ground. Its eyes, usually narrowed with barely concealed psychic fury, were open, tracking me with an unnerving, focused obedience—a product of both the Master Ball's influence and the respect earned through our battle.

Mewtwo immediately sensed the presence of Ho-Oh, its psychic field reacting with awe and caution. It heard our entire exchange. Mewtwo telepathically projected, the voice surprisingly smooth, yet echoing with immense power, 'I understand your plan, Master. I submit to the process. If it means true completion, I welcome it.'

Ho-Oh stepped forward, its aura intensifying. The air grew warm, then searing. Ho-Oh commanded, and its magnificent form erupted in iridescent flames, 'Be still.'

*Ssssss*

The Sacred Fire—a force of creation and complete purification—enveloped Mewtwo. Mewtwo flinched, a raw, soundless bolt of pain radiating outward.

*Shiiii*

The fire felt like it was burning its very DNA. Instinctively, Mewtwo used Recover, attempting to mitigate the searing reconstruction. But this fire was different; it wasn't meant to destroy, but to rebuild.

I watched, clenching my fists, as the faint, almost imperceptible vestiges of Blaine's cells—the human imprint—were aggressively targeted and disintegrated by the purifying flames. As they vanished, Ho-Oh's power flowed in, replicating and implanting the complete, pure genetic code of Mew.

*Shiiii*

Mewtwo's form shimmered. The reconstruction was complete.

The flames subsided, leaving Mewtwo hovering, pristine and utterly transformed. The raw, destructive edge was gone, replaced by an aura of perfected psychic control.

Its expression, once inherently tormented, was now soothed, profoundly calm. It was reborn. I waited a moment, letting the residual energy dissipate. Eevee peeked out from under my hair, giving a soft cry, "Eeee? (You okay there?)"

I said calmly, keeping my tone casual, masking the triumph I felt for him, "Mewtwo… Can you speak?"

Mewtwo's large eyes glowed blue. The sound came not through the air, but directly into my consciousness, clear and perfectly modulated. The tone was obedient, respectful, and utterly clear, 'Yes, Master.'

I suppressed a grin. Step one complete.

Knowing this, I reached into my pocket and produced two stones—a pair of shining, otherworldly relics: the Mewtwonite X and the Mewtwonite Y as I asked curiously, "Excellent, partner. Now, let's see about unlocking the rest of your potential. Can you use your psychic powers to examine these?"

*Shiii*

Mewtwo's gaze fell upon the Mega Stones. No physical movement was needed. With the barest flicker of intention, the two stones floated from my hand, orbiting Mewtwo in a controlled, silent dance.

Mewtwo asked curiously, the stones suspended effortlessly at its side, 'Is this satisfactory? And these stones… they resonate well within me. They feel like a natural extension of the power you just helped unlock. May I keep these, Master?'

I nodded as I gifted Mewtwo his Mega Stones, which he rightfully deserves, "They are yours. They are the key to the next level of your strength."

Ho-Oh chimed in, its projection flowing into my mind and Mewtwo's simultaneously, 'As I cleansed and rebirthed you, Mewtwo, I sensed a deep, latent power within your structure. The Sacred Fire did more than purify; it unlocked that potential, causing it to resonate strongly with these artifacts.'

Mewtwo pulled the stones closer, holding them against its body with focused psychic energy. A deep, humming power emanated from its restructured core.

*HUMMM*

The stones didn't just activate; they merged. Upon doing so, I received a pop-up notification in the process.

[You used the item [Mewtwonite X] and [Mewtwonite Y]!]

[Both items will now be integrated into Mewtwo!]

*SHIIII*

Mewtwo's form began to warp, flesh restructuring, psychic energy surging outward like a shockwave. Its slender tail thickened, its posture changed, and the cranial structure expanded, becoming streamlined. In less than three seconds… Mega Mewtwo Y hovered before me—sleek, fast, and radiating sheer psychic supremacy.

My eyes widened slightly as I uttered in a stunned tone, witnessing Mega Mewtwo Y, "Impressive. You Mega Evolved without a Key Stone!"

Mewtwo Y marveled at its own speed and mental agility, testing the limits of its new form. Then, a flicker of rainbow light flashed across its body…

*SHIIII*

The form destabilized, shifting. The sleek, streamlined Y model dissolved, replaced now by the muscular, armored form of Mega Mewtwo X. Its new physique was imposing, radiating raw physical and psychological strength.

Mewtwo X projected, analyzing its own mutation with fascination, 'The transition is instantaneous. This latent power—this self-sufficiency—is exhilarating.'

I grinned, clapping my hands lightly, congratulating my partner's power, "It seems like Ho-Oh's intervention must have fully awoken the ability to Mega Evolve on your own terms. Truly impressive, partner."

*Shiii*

Mewtwo X nodded, reverting to its standard form, the stones now orbiting loosely around its waist integrated into its body, ready for instantaneous use. Despite having no memory of its past life or initial conflicts, Mewtwo was deeply grateful.

Its newfound strength and the revelation of its true, complete nature solidified its loyalty. Mewtwo bowed its head, pledging to me, gratefully declared, 'My allegiance is absolute, Master. I will follow you and seek to grow stronger to honor this gift.'

I felt a slight blush rising to my cheeks at the formal praise as I replied, "Just Azure is fine, Mewtwo. Now, let's see the numbers."

I pulled out my Arc Phone—my personal cheat, capable of instantly analyzing a Pokémon's full status. I focused the screen on Mewtwo, and what I read shocked me deeply about its new power-up.

|Name: Mewtwo (Completed) (Genetic Pokémon) [Can Mega Evolve Freely]

The power jump confirmed Ho-Oh's success. Level 70 to 80 in a single reconstruction, along with gaining Insomina and Steadfast abilities of its Mega Counterparts. Not only is Mewtwo the same as Eevee, but it is also now gaining STAB Fighting move coverage.

Mewtwo bowed its head reverently, eager for direction. I could sense a subtle, almost innocent smile in its psychic projection as he pledged, 'I am ready, Master. I desire to learn more about the world and test my new strength against worthy opponents.'

I smiled, hearing this utterance, "You'll get your chance, trust me."

I turned to Ho-Oh, thanking my partner for its greatest contribution, "Thank you, Ho-Oh. Your services will not be forgotten."

Ho-Oh merely radiated warmth, then began to fade, disappearing in a shower of golden feathers and glittering light, leaving the clearing just as quiet as before. Man, Pokémon are amazing. Now, for the final, riskier part of the plan.

Yet, even as I met Mewtwo's gaze, a shiver of unease traced its way down my spine. It might not be enough.

The thought, unwelcome and heavy, settled in my gut like a lead weight. The next arc involves Giovanni and…

Deoxys.

The sheer, alien power of that extraterrestrial Pokémon, coupled with the ruthless ambition of the Rocket Boss, loomed large in my strategic calculations. Even with a reborn, empowered Mewtwo by my side, I knew the coming confrontation would push the boundaries of what was possible.

It was a blessing and a curse, my meta-knowledge that guided my path but also revealed the terrifying challenges ahead. I knelt, running a hand over Pikachu's head, then Eevee's soft fur, assuring them.

They looked up at me with trusting eyes, their energy levels slowly returning. Five years of training, pushing myself and my partners, culminating in two League victories and a Hoenn League triumph, none of which I'd accepted the title for.

I wasn't here for glory. I was here to survive, to protect, and perhaps, to prepare for what my knowledge told me was coming.

I told them, my voice a low rumble in the quiet peace surrounding us, "We need to move. Fast. And with purpose."

Pikachu chirped, a question in his tone. Eevee tilted her head, sensing the shift in my mood from relief to renewed determination.

I explained, standing up and gazing east, towards the distant, hazy outline of the Johto region, "The Plates. Arceus's Plates. If my memory serves me right, all of them are somewhere in Johto… We need them."

The Plates were more than just relics; they were fragments of Arceus's power, capable of altering a Pokémon's type and boosting specific abilities. With them, I could enhance my team, giving them the defensive and offensive edge needed to stand against Giovanni's Deoxys and whatever other monstrosities he would undoubtedly unleash.

It wasn't just about Mewtwo; it was about every Pokémon on my team, every partner I'd fought alongside. A sense of urgency propelled me forward. I still remember the crucial details of the manga arcs, the intricate plotlines, the critical power-ups.

It felt like cheating sometimes, this wellspring of knowledge, but against a threat like Giovanni and Deoxys, I couldn't afford to hold back. This wasn't a game; it was life and death for countless people and Pokémon.

With a final glance at the majestic landscape, I focused on our next objective. It's time to hunt down the plates.
