I hum a little as I watch Ozpin and Ironwood address the public about the attack. There were grumblings coming from the Vale Council, but General Ironwood shut them down when he said something about corruption and how they should notice if they put more of the budget into local security.
From that remark alone, Alice told me the chance of them being reelected had reduced to 21%.
Some people also ask about the Kuo Kuana having a military and how Atlas and Vale should handle it. Ironwood might say that we are allies and say that Kuo Kuana is an independent nation, but I can hear an underlying tone in his words.
He might see us as an ally, but he will investigate us or even steal our tech.
Sadly for him, there is an upside to having a country full of Faunus. It is easy to distinguish which one is an ally and which one is a spy. There is also the fact that Alice will be watching the island for anyone who tries to land here.
Lastly, I want to make sure Kuo Kuana is one hundred percent self-sufficient.
It is time for me to bring the big gun. I think it is time for me to use the tech from Stellaris, or at least the bigger tech. I only use a smaller tech and it has been working. However, I want to terraform the entire island and make it into paradise.
It is a smaller Terraformer device, but it is something that can change the entire island or even the continent.
However, I am not done. I will also create an energy generator to protect the entire island. With the others knowing about our new military prowess, we need something to protect our home, and an island-wide deflector will be great.
I already have a blueprint I want to test. It is a combination of Star Wars and Stellaris tech. Star Wars has better energy-based shields, but not very good against ballistic weaponry. Combine the two? You get the best of both worlds. It will take longer, but I want the best.
"Father"
I snap from my thoughts and see Alice enter my office.
"What is it, Alice?"
"Lady Khan is in front of our lab. She wants to talk to you about something important."
"Really? Tell her to get in, Alice. Show her to my office, will you?"
"Of course, Father."
I hum a little and store all the blueprints on the table. I take a tea set and heat up some water. I smile a little when I see the water boil in a matter of seconds. High tech for the win. What? Is using high tech to boil water faster a bit much? Well, you can fuck off. I use my tech for whatever I want.
It does not take long before I see Alice and Sienna enter my office. I give her a smile and say.
"Please take a seat. Tea?"
"Yes, please."
She takes a seat and pours tea into the cup before putting it in front of her. I watch her breathe in the steam and take a sip of the tea. I chuckle a little when I see her widen her eyes.
"This is delicious. What kind of tea is this?"
"It is something that I breed for myself. That means you cannot find it anywhere else. I call it Gaia Tea."
"Right."
She only nods her head and accepts my outrageous statement. They are slowly accepting all the crazy things I made. After sipping our tea for a few seconds, I put down my cup and said,
"So, what can I do for you, Sienna?"
"I come here to ask if you want to come with us. The White Fang wants to reclaim our land from the Grimm, and I wonder if you want to come with us. I know you want to test out more weapons you made, but we want you to be protected from danger. With this expedition, it will kill two birds with one stone. We will depart tomorrow morning. It will be a great exercise for the others and a perfect time for you to test something in the field."
"Of course. I will join you because there is something new I need to test."
"Oh? What is it? Another weapon? We love the plasma and laser weaponry you provide us, Orin."
Sienna gives me a sultry smile as she leans forward. Man, it is harder for me not to add her to my waifu list. In fact, I will do that in the future. For now, there are things that I need to take care of first.
"You can see them tomorrow, Sienna. Don't worry. You will love it."
"Oh, I do. I love everything you have done for our race. Did you know that all Faunus worldwide start to migrate here?"
"I know about that news. In fact, I am already planning on making Kuo Kuana into a paradise island that can feed the entire Faunus in the world."
"Really?"
I take out the blueprint for the terraforming device.
"Here. Take a look at this and tell me what you see."
She looks at the blueprint but frowns after a few seconds.
"What is it? You know that I am not someone who understands tech."
"Right. Sorry about that. This is a Terraforming Device. When I say that I want to change Menagerie into paradise, I mean it. I will still preserve some of the desert, but I will change most of it into a fertile land or something better than a desert."
"What about the dome? Isn't that able to feed all the Faunus?"
"It can be, yes."
"Then, why make this?"
"Well, I want to turn Menagerie into paradise. I want this place to have all kinds of biomes. Rainforest? Yup. Wetland? Yup. Savanna? Of course. I want the world to see that we are people who can take fate into our hands. Humans give us this place to cage us. They need to ensure we cannot grow because of the lack of resources. I want to change that cage! I want to break the prison they placed on us!"
I give her a grin and say.
"And turning this so-called prison into a paradise is our best revenge against them. We shall show them that Menagerie is a place where Faunus can thrive! Menagerie is the paradise that we create for ourselves! It will show them that we do not need their charity! We are Faunus, and WE ARE STRONG!"
Sienna looks at me for a few seconds before laughing.
"Oh, Orin. You are truly something else. It is getting harder not to jump at you and fuck your brain out."
"What? Really? I know you want to honeytrap me, but I thought you would send someone instead of yourself."
"What? You underestimate your look, Orin. You are a handsome man, rich, and smart. Combine it with the fact that you modify your genes to look like this… Yum~"
Huh. That makes my plan easier. You know what? Let's get her now.
"Then, do you want to become one of my inner circle?"
"What do you mean? Also, you have an inner circle, Orin? Are you trying to make a new faction?"
"Not really. My inner circle is someone who receives the latest power I receive."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
I showed her my tattoo. This is the same tattoo I put on Alice. Yeah. This is the Company tattoo, the one that binds someone to me. Why do I put one on myself even though it does nothing? It looks cool.
Also, it is easier to have one for my plan to recruit people in this world.
"A tattoo?"
"Not an ordinary tattoo. This thing grants you some unique and powerful power."
"What is it?"
"It grants you immunity to Poison, Venom, Diseases, Mind-Related attacks, Mind Reading, Possession, Draining Effect, and Environmental."
"What? Are you sure? Also, what do you mean by Mind-related attack and Mind Reading, aren't they the same?"
"No. Mind-related attacks are things like mind control, brainwashing, and such."
"That is… I want to say that it is something that is impossible, but I know a few people who have that semblance and use that power to do something unspeakable to innocent people."
"Yup! As for mind reading… Well, that is easy to understand. That includes a semblance that tries to see if we are lying or not. I hear Atlas has people who have that kind of semblance."
"Yeah. I know that person."
"However, there is more! At least more in the future. I am using mystic and technological knowledge to create this tattoo. I use the crushed—"
"Stop. I don't think I need to hear the process of making this tattoo, Orin. I am in. Put the tattoo on my body."
I grumbled a little at her, stopping me from saying the alibi I had made.
"Right. Where do you want me to put it?"
"Wait. I can choose the location?"
"Of course. If you want it bigger, I need to do it on your back or some place with a lot of room."
"Then please put it on my back."
"Very well. Lay upside down, and I will put the tattoo on your back."
