Chapter 181 - Chapter 181: White Fang

"This is… the Konoha cemetery? But wasn't I already dead?"

A Uchiha from the Police Force slowly regained consciousness.

He blinked blankly, taking in his surroundings. When he saw Tamao, Izumi, and Minami, he exclaimed,

"You guys… were also killed by Uchiha Yu?"

He looked to be around thirty, with the clan's trademark hairstyle.

On the night of the massacre, he had followed Inaho to stop the rampaging Uchiha Yu. As expected, his fate was the same as all who tried.

Before Izumi or the others could respond—

He suddenly saw Uchiha Yu standing beside Mikoto.

Rage immediately erupted inside him. He roared at the top of his lungs, "Uchiha Yu!!!"

His furious shout thundered through the cemetery like a chain of exploding tags.

At that moment, other Uchihas resurrected by the Impure World Reincarnation—those who had died in the Police Force prison—were just starting to regain awareness.

But the moment they heard that name—Uchiha Yu—they snapped awake. To them, that name was a thorn stuck in their throats, a kunai driven into their hearts, twisting deeper with every beat.

There were around forty of them, all elite members of the Uchiha clan.

Among them were also three elder council members and Inaho himself, brought back through Edo Tensei.

Hearing the shout, the other Uchihas were drawn toward the noise, scanning the area.

In moments, every resurrected Uchiha's gaze turned toward the shouting man—and to Uchiha Yu beside him.

In one corner, a silver-haired middle-aged man stood silently, staring at his own hands and at the world around him.

His features were sharp and dignified, lined slightly by age. He wore Konoha's green flak jacket—ordinary at first glance, yet his presence carried a tempered strength.

This man was none other than the White Fang of Konoha, the legendary shinobi whom even the Sannin once revered.

For a few seconds, his memories surged back like a flood.

"I… came back to life?" he muttered in disbelief.

He remembered his own suicide clearly—how he had waited quietly in the darkness beyond death.

And now, suddenly, he was back in Konoha?

Before he could piece it together, a violent commotion ahead drew his attention.

The Uchiha who had shouted earlier was trembling with rage, his Edo Tensei face twisting into something monstrous. The tomoe in his eyes spun wildly—then he vanished.

In an instant, he appeared above Uchiha Yu, fist cocked, ready to smash it down. It was the purest form of close-quarters combat—taijutsu fused with the Sharingan's insight.

The sudden outburst was troublesome, but completely in character for the Uchiha.

They were always like this.

"…"

Mikoto's face changed.

She moved to stop him, but Uchiha Yu placed a calm hand on her shoulder, silently signaling that it wasn't necessary.

Yu's expression stayed composed as he watched the attacker approach, his gaze locked on the man's spinning Sharingan.

The enraged Uchiha glared back, channeling Yin chakra through his eyes, forcing it into Yu's mind.

But to his shock, although his chakra did enter Yu's consciousness—it simply vanished, swallowed whole like a pebble into the sea.

Even those resurrected through Edo Tensei—who had lost their Sharingan in life—would have their eyes restored in death.

However, those eyes could neither evolve nor be taken again; they were creations of Edo Tensei.

And with Uchiha Yu's current spiritual power and ocular strength, there were only a handful in the entire shinobi world capable of casting genjutsu on him successfully.

At that moment, Izumi, Minami, Tamao, and six other Uchiha squad members appeared in a blur, landing firmly in front of Yu.

"So fast—"

The resurrected Uchiha in midair hadn't even landed when he saw Izumi, Minami, and Tamao suddenly appear in front of Uchiha Yu.

"Why are you protecting someone who murdered his own clan?!" he roared in fury.

The next moment—

"Get lost!!"

Izumi's eyes turned sharp. She pulled the Samehada from her back and swung it with all her strength toward the airborne Uchiha.

She had no patience for explanations.

When facing a clansman who attacked without a word, the best response was to teach him a lesson.

"Gah—!"

The reincarnated Uchiha's eyes widened in disbelief. In his vision, Izumi's movements were far beyond anything he could follow.

Even with his Sharingan's triple tomoe, he couldn't trace a path to dodge.

Was this really the same little girl he once knew?

BOOM—

Samehada carved a clean, elegant arc through the air and smashed into him with brutal force, shattering his upper body into fragments.

Every resurrected Uchiha present froze in shock.

Moments later, the man's body slowly regenerated—only now, his rage had cooled somewhat.

He glared at Izumi and the others, not daring to make another move. He knew it would be useless.

Still, his eyes burned with hatred as they locked on Uchiha Yu.

"That… that's Izumi, right? When did she gain power like that?" one of the Uchiha elders muttered in disbelief, staring at her.

To his eyes, Izumi's speed and strength now surpassed most of the Uchiha clan.

"Forget that—someone explain what's going on. Did Uchiha Yu really kill our own people?" demanded the second elder.

The third elder slammed a foot against the ground, fists trembling in frustration. "Why are we even here? What happened? Someone explain it to me!!"

All three elders had thick white hair and fierce, aged faces. With their Edo Tensei forms, they looked nearly identical—like triplets, weathered but intimidating.

On the night of the massacre, they'd been working in the Police Department. None of them knew what had truly happened before being slaughtered by the masked man.

As for Uchiha Yu, all they knew was that something terrible had occurred in the Police Department's prison—Inaho had requested reinforcements multiple times.

But before anyone could respond to those calls, the masked man had launched his assault.

Just then—

One Uchiha, glaring at Yu with hatred burning in his eyes, growled coldly,

"Uchiha Yu killed every clansman who went to support the Police Department. Judging from his actions, his goal was to annihilate the Uchiha clan!"

"Annihilate the Uchiha…" a civilian Uchiha murmured, face paling as a memory surfaced. He shook his head furiously. "No! It wasn't Yu—it was Itachi! Itachi wanted to destroy the clan!"

That night, screams had echoed across the compound. When he ran from his house, he saw Itachi himself, blade in hand, cutting down kin from one end of the street to the other.

The words barely left his lips before the resurrected Uchiha all turned toward him. They knew this man—an honest clansman, respected and trusted. He wouldn't lie.

"But clearly… we were all cut down by Yu's blade…" another muttered.

"Where did you die?" someone asked.

"In the Police Department prison."

"The prison… then that guy wasn't lying. Several of us were killed by Itachi at home."

"No, I—and many others—died in the Police Department headquarters."

As all the reanimated Uchiha spoke one after another, the truth gradually began to piece itself together.

The once silent graveyard was now boiling with tension after that furious roar.

Orochimaru looked toward Uchiha Yu.

Yu, however, seemed completely indifferent—quietly waiting for their commotion to end.

"The Uchiha clan… was wiped out?"

White Fang murmured in disbelief. His body froze, his mind exploding like a hundred detonation tags going off at once.

The annihilation of the Uchiha clan in Konoha would inevitably trigger a chain reaction.

If other villages took advantage of the chaos, it could easily become the spark of another great war.

But the question was—

How could the powerful Uchiha of Konoha be so easily destroyed?

No wonder much of the land outside the cemetery had been flattened into ruins.

As he thought, White Fang lowered his head again, staring at his cracked arms.

Then he suddenly recalled the Second Hokage's once-famous forbidden technique:

"So… these Uchiha, and even I, were resurrected through Edo Tensei."

If that was the case—

"It's to strengthen their forces," he concluded coolly.

Konoha must currently be in a state of war.

So the ones who reanimated them… were likely hoping to assist Konoha?
