Chapter 182 - Chapter 182: Uchiha Clansmen

White Fang's gaze finally rested on one of the Legendary Sannin—Orochimaru—who met his eyes with a faint smile.

Meanwhile, after much discussion, the Uchiha reanimations finally reached some clarity.

Hundreds of reanimated Uchiha turned to face Uchiha Yu together, their expressions cold and imposing—their collective pressure overwhelming.

Before his defection, Yu would've stood no chance against so many Uchiha, even after taking Orochimaru's medicine.

But now…

If it weren't for the fact that these reanimated ones still had some use, Yu wouldn't even bother acknowledging these so-called noble Uchiha, who were slaughtered by Itachi and Obito without raising a ripple.

"Uchiha Yu, Itachi, and that masked man!" the clan's Great Elder finally pieced it together, narrowing his old eyes and roaring, "It was you three who dragged the Uchiha clan into the abyss—who destroyed it! Is that true?!"

His voice thundered through the graveyard, silencing all noise.

In the next moment, before any of the Uchiha could question further, the reanimated ones froze—the patterns of the Yasakani flaring in their eyes.

"Mangekyō Sharingan!!!"

The Great Elder exclaimed in shock.

The crowd of Uchiha instinctively tried to awaken their Sharingan, using Yin Release chakra to resist—

but the mental pressure crashing down on them was like a raging storm.

The three most powerful elders, those with the strongest ocular prowess, felt it most clearly.

They couldn't recall Uchiha Yu ever being this terrifying.

The Mangekyō patterns in Yu's eyes spun, and as he drew on the power of the tailed beast's chakra, mere eye contact was enough to mark over three hundred Uchiha before him in an instant.

Clearly, these reanimated Uchiha had no idea—they were struggling against the power of a tailed beast.

Then, orange-red flames illuminated the graveyard as a sleek, jet-black Tengu-shaped armor materialized before them like a divine weapon.

It wrapped around Yu completely.

From within the war helm, a pair of bright eyes looked down coldly upon the Uchiha below—eyes that held no trace of respect.

"Susanoo??"

"The power of a god…"

The three Uchiha elders widened their eyes in disbelief.

They had lived through the Warring States, through the eras of Izanagi and Izanami—

and yet now, before their very eyes, that same divine power had returned to the Uchiha bloodline once more!

The other reanimated Uchiha might not have known what this meant—but the three elders understood perfectly.

Before they could even react, Susanoo's blazing Totsuka Blade swept across the battlefield. The burning sword devoured and sealed every last reanimated Uchiha it touched.

The Uchiha who had only just been resurrected vanished without a trace.

As the orange-red Susanoo faded, the flames dimmed and dispersed into the air. Within moments, the once chaotic graveyard returned to silence.

Orochimaru raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"Yu-kun… you're not going to explain anything to them?"

If Uchiha Yu didn't clarify the situation, Orochimaru believed that with the notoriously fiery temperament of the Uchiha—even Yu would struggle to control them without constant effort.

The surviving Uchiha were also baffled. Before the Great Elder could even speak, their captain had sealed them all away.

That, however, was perfectly in line with Yu's usual style.

Yu simply replied,

"Let them calm down first."

Inside the sealed space, Tobirama, who had been watching with interest, suddenly frowned deeply.

The Uchiha were already burning with fury—having suffered the destruction of their clan and then being resurrected as pawns. No matter what Yu said, they wouldn't have listened.

Tobirama had expected Yu to be troubled by his resurrected clansmen's defiance—but to his surprise, Yu didn't even give them the chance to speak.

As expected from that dangerously twisted Uchiha outlier!

Land of Fire, Eastern Region

In a forest.

Within a makeshift camp where Konoha's survivors had fled, Itachi sat cross-legged on the ground. Slowly, he unwound the bandages covering his eyes.

After more than a month of blindness, he could finally feel light again—the sunlight filtering through the tent's fabric, warm and distant, yet close enough that it felt he could reach out and grasp it.

His eyelashes trembled.

He opened his eyes.

Itachi's gaze, though slightly clouded and far older than his years, finally met the world of light once more.

"Father… your eyes could see so far."

He whispered softly, his eyes lowering in contemplation.

Ever since Uchiha Yu had taken his Mangekyō Sharingan, Itachi had been cast aside by Hiruzen Sarutobi, left at home to recover.

In truth, after the Uchiha massacre, when Yu's existence came to light, Itachi secretly kept Fugaku's eyes as a trump card.

To keep Konoha from discovering he had taken them, he personally cremated his father's body using Fire Release.

In the end, that hidden card became his salvation. On the very night he returned to the village—blind and broken—he transplanted his father's eyes.

Since then, he had feigned severe injury, biding his time, waiting for a chance to avenge himself on Uchiha Yu.

After Yu destroyed Konoha, Itachi had expected him to come finish the job. But Yu ignored him completely.

And so, while he continued his act, the remnants of Konoha had carried him away with them.

At that moment, the tent's flap was thrown open. Mitokado Homura stepped in, eyes widening as he met Itachi's.

"You did it?" he asked in astonishment.

"Yes, sir," Itachi replied calmly. "I transplanted a clansman's eyes—and it was a success."

He explained to Konoha's remaining leadership that these were the last surviving Sharingan from the massacre.

Given Konoha's desperate need for power, no one questioned it.

"Good—good! Try your strength now!" Homura urged excitedly.

He was counting on Itachi's power to rally the scattered remnants of Konoha before Tsunade could be found.

Itachi nodded. He intended to test it anyway. As he focused, the intricate pattern of the Mangekyō appeared in his pupils.

He could feel that his father's eyes had never awakened Susanoo.

But that hardly mattered.

Whoosh—

Orange-red flames flared within the tent. The black Tengu armor of Susanoo manifested once again.

The tent instantly melted away under the heat. Itachi had once more awakened his Susanoo.

Homura's eyes gleamed with satisfaction, his heart pounding with excitement. All those weeks of sending med-nin to treat Itachi's eyes had finally paid off.

The flaming Susanoo raised its Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror—but Itachi immediately sensed something strange. The blade was sealed.

His brow furrowed as he began examining the seal to break it.

After some time, he finally succeeded.

Just as he relaxed—wondering why the Totsuka Blade had been sealed in the first place—

Something went horribly wrong.

The moment the seal was lifted, one after another, the spirits of Uchiha he had slain began to emerge—forced out of the Totsuka Blade's realm.

Itachi and Homura stood there, utterly stunned
