Chapter 186 - Chapter 186: Learning The Truth (2)

"Whoosh—"

Hearing this, the three Great Elders and the reanimated Uchiha erupted in shock and clamor once again.

Even though Izumi's words were few, each sentence carried an overwhelming amount of information.

"Uchiha Yu captured both the Three-Tails and the Six-Tails… and took control of Konoha?!"

The Great Elder let out a sharp cry, staring at Izumi and Uchiha Yu in utter disbelief.

He could never have imagined that the Uchiha clan would one day capture tailed beasts—and even occupy Konoha itself.

That had been the dream of countless Uchiha after they were exiled and oppressed—the one thing they'd discussed and prepared for over many years, yet never succeeded in accomplishing.

"Hurry and tell us—what happened after we died?"

The Second Elder urged anxiously.

Only then did the Uchiha warriors beside Uchiha Yu start speaking all at once, explaining to the reanimated Uchiha the many trials they had endured since their escape.

Tobirama and Hashirama, combining what they'd heard from Hiruzen Sarutobi and the others with what they now saw before them, could tell these Uchiha were not lying.

The other reanimated shinobi of Konoha, upon learning the truth—that Konoha had used such means to destroy the Uchiha—fell into deep thought.

Even for those who weren't Uchiha, this information was too explosive to process.

Whether it was the annihilation of the Uchiha clan, or Uchiha Yu leading the surviving members to seize Konoha—both were staggering revelations.

"The once-great noble clan, the Uchiha… to think they ended up so tragically," Might Duy murmured solemnly.

As he spoke, he looked toward Sakumo Hatake. Their eyes met briefly.

Sakumo lowered his head and sighed. His own death had been just as bitter—misunderstood by the entire village.

Now it seemed that, like the Uchiha, perhaps he had not been wrong.

He had merely followed the Will of Fire—choosing his comrades over the mission.

The real fault lay in this twisted, deranged village system called Konoha.

At that moment, one Uchiha, glancing about, suddenly shouted from behind the group:

"Look over there!!"

All the reanimated Uchiha, along with the three elders, turned their heads.

On the great Hokage Rock, the stone face of Uchiha Yu gazed down upon the entire village.

When they saw it, their hearts surged with indescribable shock.

"That's… Yu…? After all these years, our Uchiha clan has finally produced a Hokage?!"

The Great Elder stared blankly upward, his aged face trembling with emotion as he unconsciously took a few steps forward.

For the Uchiha clan, seeing one of their own become Hokage had long been a generational obsession—

Even hearing that they had conquered Konoha couldn't compare to this moment of awe.

"That's truly a Hokage monument… only a Hokage can be carved onto the Hokage Rock…"

"But wait—what about the other Hokage's faces?"

"Konoha now belongs to the Uchiha. Do the other Hokage monuments even need to remain?"

The reanimated Uchiha began murmuring among themselves.

Then, the Second Elder suddenly noticed something beyond the mountain and froze, calling out in alarm:

"Brother! Above the Hokage Rock—that fortress, isn't it from the Sky Ninja Village?"

The three elders, who had lived through the Second Great Ninja War, stared carefully.

A wave of realization struck them—it truly was the Sky Ninja Village's technological masterpiece.

They exchanged looks and, without hesitation, vanished in an instant, leaping toward the other clan districts of Konoha.

Uchiha Yu didn't bother stopping them. Now that these reanimated Uchiha had learned the truth, there was no longer any turmoil left within them.

Moments later, the Uchiha Great Elder arrived at what had once been the Hyuga clan compound.

Standing atop a wooden house, he looked out over the area—and what he saw left him utterly stunned…

The area was eerily quiet, though the familiar Hyuga-style courtyards stood everywhere—yet not a single Hyuga ninja could be seen.

As the Uchiha elder walked through the village, all he found were Iwagakure shinobi busy repairing the ruins of the Hidden Leaf.

"Even the Hyuga clan… were driven out?" the elder murmured, waves of emotion rising in his chest.

He continued to the Aburame, Akimichi, and Nara clan districts, yet still didn't see a single soul.

After some time, the three Uchiha elders finally returned to the Hokage Building. Immediately, all eyes—both the Edo Tensei Uchiha and figures like Sakumo Hatake—turned toward them. Everyone knew the elders had gone to confirm the state of the present-day village.

The three exchanged glances.

"All the great clan districts are empty… A massive battle took place in the village, and now the Iwa-nin are rebuilding it."

"No sign of any Konoha shinobi."

"Same on my end. Everything is exactly as Izumi and Tamao described."

When they finished speaking, all the Edo Tensei Uchiha turned their gaze toward Uchiha Yu. There was no longer anger or doubt in their eyes—only pure shock and disbelief.

The eldest elder took a step forward, bowed deeply at a perfect ninety degrees, and said with trembling emotion:

"Praise be to the great Sage of Six Paths for granting you to the Uchiha clan, my lord!"

At once, every Edo Tensei Uchiha followed suit, bowing in unison to Uchiha Yu, showing their most heartfelt respect. Even Tamao and the others, overwhelmed with emotion, followed the example and bowed as well.

"Could this one… be another Madara?" Tobirama muttered, his tone low and grave.

At that name, Hashirama's eyes softened with nostalgia. "Madara…" he whispered, lost in memories of their childhood—the happiest, most carefree days of his life.

Sakumo, Might Duy, and the others silently watched the scene unfold. They could feel it: from this moment onward, the Uchiha clan would never be the same again. Even if most of them were already dead.

"Heh…" Orochimaru, standing beside Uchiha Yu, gazed at the rows of bowing Uchiha. As he studied Yu's calm side profile, a strange sense of admiration welled up in his chest.

It felt as though he had found a new purpose in life—

to see just how far this man, Uchiha Yu, could go in the shinobi world.

And of course, Orochimaru thought with a faint smile, on Yu's path of ascension, he would gladly provide every bit of help he could.

Watching Yu now, standing atop the Hokage Building as both the head of the Uchiha and the new master of Konoha, Orochimaru felt an odd sense of fulfillment—almost pride.

Then, breaking the reverent silence, Yu spoke in his usual calm voice:

"You can thank me directly. As for that Sage of Six Paths… what the hell is that supposed to be?"

Hokage's Office.

The room was silent.

Uchiha Yu sat behind the desk. Tsunade stood to his right like a personal secretary, while Orochimaru occupied the left side.

Before the desk, the three Uchiha elders stood like subordinates awaiting orders.

Moments ago, Tsunade had been utterly stunned—Yu had used Edo Tensei to resurrect every Uchiha who could possibly be revived.

It was sheer madness.

They were all dead, and yet he summoned them back simply because the village lacked manpower.

Under Yu's command, Tsunade had assigned the resurrected Uchiha elders and warriors into various departments, quickly refilling the core ranks of the new Leaf Village.

Even then, the "New Konoha" barely counted as a small hidden village.

There was no helping it—

In its golden age, Konoha's active ninja count had exceeded ten thousand.

Now, even with the resurrected Uchiha, the entire core force barely numbered four to five hundred.

Yu's reign had only just begun.

There was still a long road ahead.

The elders were still shaken by Yu's final words earlier on the rooftop of the Hokage Building—words so blasphemous that they couldn't get them out of their heads.

"The Sage of Six Paths… what the hell is that?"

The eldest elder drew in a sharp breath.

The Uchiha had always been proud—but never had they seen such arrogance.

And yet… when they thought of everything Yu had accomplished, it felt like he had earned the right to be that arrogant.

After a brief silence, the eldest elder collected himself, stepped forward, and said solemnly:

"My lord, since the village is still short on capable shinobi, allow me to recommend someone of great importance. She was once the Uchiha clan's ultimate weapon of war. Though sealed away for centuries, I believe she still lives—imprisoned somewhere within the ninja world."
