Chapter 187 - Chapter 187: Weapon?

"She also possesses the Mangekyō Sharingan. If we can find her and persuade her, she'll be an incredible asset to the village!"

The Uchiha elder's voice was firm, his conviction unwavering.

As his words faded, silence filled the office—only the distant rumbling of reconstruction echoed through the night outside.

Uchiha Yu leaned back in his chair, his gaze fixed on the three elders, thoughtful.

These three old Uchiha men—so volatile and ruthless at first—had, just as he predicted, turned utterly cooperative once they saw the truth of the situation.

---

Inside the sealed dimension.

Hashirama no longer bickered with Tobirama. His expression turned grave as he asked,

"Tobirama, I didn't read as much as you. Is what that old man said true?"

A "war weapon" of the Uchiha clan—that name alone sounded intimidating.

Hashirama understood: if it was someone he had never heard of, then this person must have lived in an era even more ancient than their own.

In other words, this so-called weapon was probably Madara's ancestor.

"Brother, that Uchiha elder is likely a descendant of Uchiha Shana. In fact, we're even older than he is," Tobirama muttered with a frown, before adding in a serious tone, "But yes—it's true. I once saw records about this Uchiha war weapon in the clan's classified archives."

"Tell me about it," Hashirama said eagerly.

"Not yet," Tobirama replied, glancing sideways with a knowing look.

If he spoke now, that brat Uchiha Yu would probably be laughing in secret. Tobirama wasn't that generous.

He had mentioned the existence of this Uchiha war weapon for a reason—but the full details, he would keep to himself for now.

---

Back in the Hokage's Office.

Tsunade and Orochimaru exchanged looks, their expressions subtly shifting.

A shinobi weapon sealed away centuries ago?

It sounded absurd—like something out of legend.

The other two Uchiha elders stepped forward and exchanged a glance before turning their eyes toward Uchiha Yu, whose expression remained perfectly calm.

From that composed demeanor, they could tell he was silently signaling the eldest elder to continue.

The second elder sighed, then looked at his older brother meaningfully.

"Big brother, stop chasing that fantasy about your so-called ultimate weapon. Ever since childhood—even up to the day you died—you've been obsessed with that sealed ancestor of ours.

But all those fragmented scrolls from the Warring States era were destroyed under Konoha's orders.

There's no record of such a person left in the entire shinobi world.

Even if you're right—where would we even begin to look?"

The third elder nodded seriously.

"He's right, big brother. The village is rebuilding. Our focus should be on strengthening it and nurturing the next generation of ninja, not chasing after old myths.

Wake up. Treasure the golden age that Lord Uchiha Yu has created for us."

For a long moment, the eldest elder was speechless. The two men who had always stood by his side now opposed him completely.

His lips parted, but no words came out. Thousands of thoughts churned in his chest, and yet he couldn't voice a single one.

The second elder's words weren't wrong.

Ever since childhood—after he had secretly read an ancient Uchiha manuscript that the Konoha Council later ordered destroyed—he had been obsessed with the legend of that "war weapon."

When he later received formal education in Uchiha history, everyone worshiped the mighty Uchiha Madara—the hero of a more recent age, who stood as the clan's greatest warrior and rivaled the Senju.

But the eldest elder admired someone else.

A figure who abandoned his own name, known only as "The Nameless."

A being who mastered all forms of Mangekyō power and carried the clan through its darkest era—a true weapon of war.

Unfortunately, no matter how deeply he searched through the Uchiha archives—or even when he secretly enlisted help from the Senju and Sarutobi clans to scour their records—he never found a single trace of this "Nameless" figure.

He remembered one lesson vividly.

During a clan class, the teacher had asked everyone to name their favorite figure in Uchiha history.

Without thinking, he had answered, "Uchiha Nameless."

The other children looked at him in surprise.

He expected praise for having an uncommon perspective—

but instead, the teacher frowned and said,

"Hyun, pay attention in class. Don't make up names that never existed in history."

Laughter erupted around him.

From that day on, the story of "Uchiha Nameless" became his secret fascination—and his lifelong obsession.

He tried to explain himself in a hurry, but his teacher stopped him. When he desperately tried to speak, the teacher even scolded him.

He couldn't understand why the teacher was so angry, but his behavior had clearly angered them.

When he played with his peers afterward, they often teased him about that incident.

Later, as he grew older and went through countless experiences—from genin to chūnin to jōnin, and finally awakening his Sharingan—

When he eventually became an elder, his Sharingan could see farther than ever before.

Only then did he realize that his teacher might not have been ignorant of the clan's history, nor unaware that someone like that had once existed.

She had simply been born from the clan's darkest sins—a pitiful girl forced to become a weapon, whose short life was filled with tragedy.

Back then, that teacher chose to distort and avoid that part of Uchiha history!

But that only made him more certain that she truly existed.

Before the Uchiha rebellion, he had even suggested to the clan's leaders that, before waging war on Konoha, they must first find that ancient ancestor of the Uchiha clan.

With her support, even if they lost, the clan would not have been wiped out.

Even if they begged her to lead them away from Konoha, she probably could have done it.

But… neither Fugaku nor the other elders ever considered the proposal seriously.

They believed that with war approaching, the clan couldn't afford to waste effort searching for someone who might not even exist.

The Grand Elder had been disheartened ever since. In truth, he had long lost faith in his people. Sasuke and Tamao's insults back then were right.

His clansmen—including himself—were only ever good at shouting slogans during meetings, yet lacked the courage to even attempt assassinating Hiruzen Sarutobi or Danzō.

Seeing how corrupted the Uchiha had become, and how they were already walking toward ruin,

He could even empathize with that weapon of war.

She must have truly existed in the shinobi world.

A person sealed away in darkness for centuries… must have been so terribly lonely.

Now that the Uchiha had regained power, the Grand Elder was even more convinced that, in such prosperous times, they had to find that ancestor—

So she could witness this new Uchiha clan and this new shinobi world for herself!

That was the Grand Elder's deepest obsession. Even after death, revived once more, he still longed to fulfill it.

He had always believed that distorting and avoiding history was wrong.

"If she was sealed for hundreds of years and still alive… if such a sealing technique truly existed, the Senju clan would've found a way to learn it and use it on my grandfather," Tsunade said.

She had never seen such a miraculous sealing jutsu before. Even the Uzumaki clan probably didn't possess one that powerful.

Otherwise, every great clan's top ninja would have sealed themselves before dying, hoping for a chance at survival in the future.

Inside the prison space—

Hashirama smiled warmly. "I'm just glad little Tsuna still remembers me. All that pampering back then wasn't for nothing."

Tobirama: "..."

He didn't interrupt his elder brother's imagination.

Orochimaru only gave a sly, devilish smile, offering no opinion.

Both he and Tsunade turned their eyes toward Uchiha Yu—only to see Yu's brows suddenly knit together.

Just as the Grand Elder was adjusting his emotions and preparing to refute the second and third elders,

Yu suddenly said, "All right."

Those two simple words struck everyone in the office like a thunderclap.

Boom—
