Chapter 124 - Chapter 123 - What a Wife Thinks

"Ahaha, look at them going at it," Miyanna laughed as she and Celine watched the twins fight in the water.

"Despite all that happened, they still act like children from time to time," Celine giggled, "It's nice to see."

"True," Miyanna replied as her laughter died down.

As Kael and Lune stopped their fighting, perhaps exhausted, lying down in the pool and enjoying the water, Miyanna took a moment to take a deep breath and enjoy her newfound life.

Damn…

Am I really deserving of all of this?

This happiness feels so strange, so unknown to me, that I think it might take me years to adjust.

But how blissful this is.

Blanc is a wonderful husband.

He has done so much for me already that I don't think I could repay him even if I had a thousand years.

Besides how handsome he is, he is caring, kind when he needs to be kind, and harsh when he needs to be harsh.

Hehe…

But still, the sword he gifted me at our betrothal, the wedding gifts, the gorilla's Raw Vita, clothes, food, much more gold than I ever thought I would see in my life, his smile, and a place next to them all.

All that, and much more, he offered me.

And what did I offer him? What did he and Celine see in me that they found so much worth in that I am deserving of all this?

I was their enemy, and before that, I was a thief, a murderer, a bandit.

From an orphan all the way here…

Now I am the second wife of a Noble Blood.

Happier than ever.

At night, even my mother's star seems to shine brighter.

I think she is happy for me.

"I can't wait to take a bath," Celine muttered as she kept watching Kael and Lune.

"Same, but we wait for Blanc as we've talked before, right?" Miyanna asked.

"Oh my, did you think I would miss going in with you and Blanc, dear sister?" Celine asked, approaching her with a playful grin on her face.

While she faced people with intentions so wicked that it was hard to consider them human, Miyanna had fewer issues against them than she had against Celine and her advancements.

Not that she really minded them.

Miyanna and Celine had, since the first night the three slept together, their own relationship, in a way.

As friends, wives of the same man, sisters, and from time to time, lovers.

Blanc did not see an issue with this, but actually encouraged them and their interactions together, whatever form that took.

After all, it kept their relationship strong, not only between them and Blanc but also between each other.

"I never said that," Miyanna replied defensively.

"Oh, I know you did not, but perhaps wanted some free time alone with our… how do you call him? Ah, right, hubby," Celine giggled, as she now stood mere inches away from Miyanna.

"There will be plenty of time for me to spend time with Blanc after your pregnancy advances," Miyanna said, a hint of smugness in her voice.

Though she acted smug, for some reason, she was jealous of Celine.

In the past, things such as love, a relationship, or being a mother were far beyond Miyanna's thoughts.

She did not have the time nor interest to care about such things.

The men she met in her life before Blanc were all closely related to pigs from the way they acted or talked, both about life and women.

They were not worth her time, especially when she was only trying to survive.

But now, married, in love, and happy, a feeling kept growing in her chest, a whisper in her ears.

She would not mind if she remained pregnant.

Though she knew that it would be a great inconvenience and another source of stress for Blanc, she could not really help but wish for it.

She knew why she wished for it.

Besides the fact that she loved Blanc and would love to have their own kids together, she knew that, in a way, it was one of the things that would make this relationship of theirs beyond real in her eyes.

After all, what is greater proof of two people's love for one another than a kid?

What is more beautiful than loving someone so much that you dream of having more kids than you can count together?

So, of course, she was jealous of Celine.

But she was happy for her at the same time.

She knew she would try her best to be a mother for Celine's kids as Celine would be for her own when the time came.

But until that day came, she would remain jealous.

A flawed way of thinking, one might think.

However, it did not matter how flawed it might have been.

It gave Miyanna joy, happiness, and a purpose more meaningful than just living for another day by any means necessary.

She now loved, laughed, got jealous, was shy, angry, and proud.

She was cared for, and she cared for others.

She was loved and loved others in her own ways.

She was more human, happier, and more fulfilled now than ever before.

So, of course, when Celine went in to kiss her, Miyanna took the lead, letting go of her shyness for a few moments, by grabbing Celine's cheeks softly in her palms and kissing her.

"Oh my," Celine muttered once Miyanna let go of her, "Such passion, and the sun is still up, what's wrong? Can't it wait until Blanc returns?"

"Hehe, I'm just happy I have you all," Miyanna replied, turning to watch Kael and Lune.

Celine stood staring at her for a few moments before, as she also turned to watch the twins, she let out a sweet giggle, "And we are happy to have you, Miyanna."

And who knows when Miyanna's wish might be heard by the Vita.

However, if one were to ask a certain husband, he prayed that it would not be too soon.
