"Boss!!!"
She exclaimed in complete shock, unable to believe her eyes. She said to herself, "A man who has money, fame, his own business—why would he work as a taxi driver?"
She was still lost in thought when her boss called out to her. She asked him, "Why are you working here?"
Just then, Jackup started the car and began driving at full speed. Rose asked him several times along the way where he was taking her, but he didn't answer.
Finally, he stopped near a small cabin located in a corner of the city—a place so hidden that no one could easily find it. Jackup got out and told Rose to get out too. Nervously, she stepped out of the car.
She asked again, "What place is this?"
Jackup replied, "No one should know you came here."
"Why? And why are you driving a taxi? Why are you doing this?" she asked.
"Look, I can't tell you anything. I just want you to promise not to tell anyone," Jackup said.
"But why? What's the reason behind all this?" Rose asked in a shocked tone.
"I told you, I can't tell you," Jackup replied firmly.
"I'll give you as much money as you want. Just don't talk about this again," he added with intensity.
Rose snapped, "Do you think money can solve everything? First, you ruined my painting, and now you expect me to help you? I will take my revenge."
Jackup looked confused, "What painting? You've mentioned this before, but I have no idea what painting you're talking about."
Rose, now furious, said, "Do you really not know or are you just pretending? That day when you came to our company, you were driving so fast that you knocked me down—and on top of that, you ruined my painting. You're responsible for all of it!"
"Oh… do you know that was my car?" Jackup asked with surprise.
"Yes, it was yours! I saw the same car parked outside the company later. It was definitely yours."
"Oh, so that's what you're talking about," Jackup said.
"Yes, exactly. It was you!" Rose replied firmly.
"Alright, I admit it. But I can pay you for the damage," Jackup offered.
"Are you crazy?" Rose shot back. "You think everything can be bought with money? Keep your money—I don't want anything. And yes, I will take my revenge."
Saying this, Rose turned and started to walk away.
Jackup kept calling out to her from behind, but she didn't look back.
