Chapter 236 - Chapter 236: Contraxia

Sebastian stepped into the torn outer layer of the spaceship and looked at the aliens with different appearances inside. He raised his wand slightly. Green light immediately flowed out from the eyebrows of everyone in the spaceship and gathered at the tip of Sebastian's wand. The memories of these aliens were like a book that Sebastian slowly flipped through and read.

Ravagers...

Illegal guard duty...

The employers were those golden people of the Sovereign...

So that was how it was. Those Sovereign people had secretly turned this pristine planet into their own private garden. They were cultivating the plants they liked for viewing purposes. As for the plants they did not like or the creatures that caused the slightest damage to the plants, they exterminated them all. No wonder the planet looked so strange and artificial. It turned out to be a semi-artificial product created by the Sovereign.

In addition to the problems here, Sebastian also learned about a place called Contraxia. It was the home base of the Ravagers from all over the universe. They rested there and bought and sold stolen goods there. They also exchanged information and issued bounties there. If Sebastian wanted to find information about vibranium, it was undoubtedly a great place to start looking.

Of course before leaving this planet, Sebastian had to collect all the valuable plants here first.

Three days later, under the panicked gazes of the Ravagers who had lost their ships, Sebastian flew out of the planet Kelanton. He was carrying a large amount of collected plants with him. He headed for Contraxia which was the Ravagers' headquarters as he remembered it from their memories.

Contraxia.

A hooded Sebastian entered a small tavern in the settlement.

Although he lacked the local currency used here, his Transfiguration magic and illusion spells were more than enough to handle any situation.

Sebastian sat at the bar. He cast an illusion spell and gave the bartender some fake money. Then he said to the bartender, "Give me something to drink and answer two questions for me."

The bartender had a face that seemed to be badly burned. He looked at the illusion of money and smiled widely. His eyes opened wide with greed. "Of course I can help you. I have whatever you want to drink here. As for your questions, for this amount of money I will tell you everything I know."

"First question. Who should I contact if I want to buy some precious metals? Second question. Has there been any significant events in Contraxia recently? Please tell me!"

The bartender poured Sebastian a glass of wine that resembled scarlet colored slime. He replied to Sebastian while pouring. "If you want to buy precious metals then you should go to the trading market in the north. Find a guy named Old Nine there. He is arguably the largest precious metals trader in all of Contraxia.

As for your second question, the only major event recently is probably Yondu Udonta being expelled from the Ravagers by Stakar Ogord. I heard someone from the Sovereign came to visit recently but I do not know what they were doing here. It is not that I will not tell you but I simply do not know more than that."

"Okay I understand. Thanks for the information."

"Hey thanks are welcome. It is just business for me."

"For me giving thanks is important."

Sebastian nodded to the bartender. He turned and left the tavern. He headed towards the trading market at the north side of the settlement.

Sebastian vaguely remembered that Yondu being expelled from the Ravagers by Stakar happened in the timeline. In other words this was the same time period where Star-Lord was looking for his father Ego and then would end up killing him. However unless something unexpected happened, Sebastian had no intention of getting involved in the battle between Star-Lord and Ego.

After all given Sebastian's current strength level, Ego the Living Planet was likely stronger than Sebastian. It was best to let Ego's son deal with such a dangerous guy. There was no need for Sebastian to get involved in that mess.

The trading market while having a nice name was actually just where the Ravagers sold their stolen goods. The Ravagers who sold things there rarely did any honest dealings.

After walking through the trading market and asking three different people for directions, Sebastian finally found the shop that was run by the man named Old Nine.

It looked like a small shop from outside but it was bustling with activity inside. Aliens of all shapes and sizes were constantly coming and going through the entrance.

Sebastian walked into the shop. After the person in front of him finished their transaction with the owner, Sebastian approached the counter. The shop owner was a six-eyed alien with a red nose. Sebastian placed his small sample of vibranium in front of the owner and said, "I would like to know where I can buy more of this metal!"

The red-nosed old man was clearly a veteran trader. He used a pair of tweezers to pick up the fingernail-sized piece of vibranium from the counter. After doing a series of inspections on it, his expression changed slightly. He looked Sebastian up and down carefully before saying, "What are you looking for this metal for? Who do you work for?"

"I do not work for anyone but myself. It seems you know something about this metal do you not?"

Old Nine looked Sebastian over again carefully. Then he suddenly placed the piece of vibranium back in front of Sebastian. He shook his head and said to him, "I am sorry but I do not recognize this metal. We do not have it here in my shop. If you do not need anything else then please leave now."

Upon hearing this denial, Sebastian's eyes narrowed slightly with suspicion. He raised his left hand. A watch-like vibranium detector appeared on his wrist through magic. After Sebastian turned it on, it immediately revealed two locations containing vibranium within the small shop. One of them was the piece of vibranium in front of Sebastian on the counter. The other location was on the shelf behind Old Nine inside a very old-looking metal box.

Without any hesitation, Sebastian suddenly reached out his hand towards the box with magic. The box flew off the shelf and landed in front of Sebastian with a loud thud. Sebastian pressed his hand against the counter to hold it down!

At this moment after seeing Sebastian's magical action, Old Nine subconsciously reached out and grabbed the box protectively. He looked at Sebastian in horror and said, "How did you know there was vibranium here in my shop!"

Looking at him with a knowing smile, Sebastian said to him, "So you call this metal vibranium as well!"

"What on earth are you going to do with this metal!"

"I want to know where vibranium comes from! Where can I find more of it!"

"You want to know the source? Well if you are not afraid of death then go and find it yourself. The output of vibranium in the universe is very small. It often only exists in asteroids or comets floating in space. Among the large planets there are only two planets that contain significant vibranium deposits.

One of the planets belongs to that being called Ego the Living Planet. The other planet belongs to the Celestials and is heavily guarded by their race. No matter which planet you go to, it is a place of certain death for anyone who tries. Unless you are lucky enough to come across an asteroid with a significant reserve of vibranium, it is impossible to get a large amount of vibranium safely!

"Ego? You mean Ego the Living Planet right?"

"You know about him? Then you should know how terrifying he is! So I advise you to give up on this quest!"

Author's Note: Sebastian has found a lead on vibranium! But it is on Ego's planet what he will do?
