Chapter 16 - chapter-16 Monkey

point of View: Leekon

Back home, after a long time, I wasn't eating alone or heading over to Gine's house for a meal. I was right here, with the only family I have in this universe: Vanie. Speaking of Gine, I should pay her a visit because I want to meet this universe's Bardock.

I want to see if he's the version from Dragon Ball Super or Dragon Ball Z, who were basically space Vikings, composed of brutes and sadists. The non-canon version of Bardock didn't care about Kakarot because he was weak as fuck and only felt pride in him when he had a vision of his son's future fight against Frieza.

Maybe he is the version who truly loves his son so much that he sends him to another planet so he can survive?

From what I remember, the Saiyans in Dragon Ball Z were sadistic because they were trying to follow the example of the legendary Super Saiyan, hoping to achieve the transformation that way. Something like following the example until it happens to you too.

Besides Bardock, I still haven't met Raditz, even though I've been going to Gine's house all this time. He probably hasn't returned from his first mission yet. Well, he'll show up eventually, and, somehow, he'll end up as Vegeta's partner.

It's a shame Kakarot in the anime never revived his brother but left Vegeta alive... kind of hypocritical.

While I was lost in thought, I felt something poking my cheek, trying to get my attention. When I looked to see what it was, it was my mom's tail.

"Stop staring at your food and eat, boy," I heard my mom say, looking at me strangely. I guess it's the first time I've ignored food in this world because I was lost in thought.

Once I realized what I was doing, my hunger took over, and I started eating again. "You know, Mom, I'm so glad you're back, but there's something I'm going to miss," I said between bites of the delicious piece of meat in my hand.

"What?" she asked, tilting her head in confusion but keeping a serious face.

"I think I'm going to miss Aunt Gine's cooking." I joked, faking sadness while looking at the meal she made, which was extremely delicious.

She was strangely silent for a few seconds, but I kept looking down, feigning sadness.

*sniff*

*sniff*

Then, I heard a sound I never expected to hear from her: she was crying. When the realization hit me instantly, I turned to her, trying to explain myself: "Mom, it was just a joke..."

Boom!

A ki blast hit me right in the face. "Idiot boy, you fell for it!" I heard her say with a smug smile that I could only see after the smoke from the attack cleared from my face. She continued, "You might be stronger than me now, but you still have a lot to learn."

I nodded. 'Tch, how could I fall for such an old trick?' That's basic manipulation. My ex used to do stuff like that to me.

"Speaking of which, do you know what the Oozaru transformation is?" she asked, now with a serious face.

"Yes, that's the Great Ape transformation that makes Saiyans the elite force that we are," I said, looking at her with anticipation. 'Is it time???'

"You're going to transform. Just give me a few days to find a spaceship for us to go to another planet so I can teach you freely how to transform." Hearing that brought a smile that nearly split my face. I really wanted to learn this; it's never a bad thing to have a trump card. What's better than a transformation that increases your power by ten times? Of course, one that increases it by fifty, like Super Saiyan, but while I don't have that, the Oozaru will do just fine, and I want to take it further than any Saiyan ever has.

'But let's not rush things. I haven't even transformed for the first time yet.'

"Of course, Mom. I'm going to get even stronger," I told her, still with a huge grin on my face.

Royal Palace, Two Days Later

In the throne room, a man stood in front of his throne with his arms crossed over his chest (he really liked Leekon's pose), while looking with disdain at the woman kneeling a few feet in front of him.

"Let me see if I understand. You want a conquest mission for your son, and you want to go with him, even though you threw that tantrum about not going on missions so you could train him in the oozaru transformation?" King Vegeta asked the kneeling woman.

"Yes, my King. I ask that you accept this request of mine," Vanie then said with a respectful tone in her voice, hoping as much as possible for her request to be accepted.

King Vegeta seemed to think for a while before saying, "Yes, I accept, but only after their fight this week."

Vanie frowned in confusion and asked, "What fight, my King?"

"Didn't your son tell you?" he said. "He and Vegeta arranged to have a weekly duel." He said it to her casually, but then a huge smile suddenly appeared on his face. Then he said, "My son has become extremely strong, and he's still training after their last fight."

"He'll go on the mission after they fight and he gets crushed." The King looked at Vanie with the gaze of someone who had a new idea and said, "I think Vegeta should also learn to control the transformation, so I will send him too."

"Understood, my lord," Vanie said, nodding.

Vanie bowed her head in respect one last time before turning to leave the palace hall.

Hi everyone, thanks for reading. I'm going to leave the poll from the last chapter open for a while until I'm ready to start the romance.

Also, if you can, please leave a review on my fanfic, if possible, hehe.

Well, I hope you enjoyed it. Let's make a deal: if I get 10 reviews (positive ones, please), I'll post another chapter.
