Chapter 116 - Arcs Magica

Chapter 116 - Arcs Magica

"Lefiya?" Ais noticed Lefiya's flushed face, looking like she might faint, and reached out to steady her.

Lefiya, leaning into Ais's arms, grew even more flustered after glancing at her close-up.

"Idiot elf, don't zone out," Roy said, exasperated.

"Don't give me nicknames!" Lefiya snapped, jolting from her daze.

She pulled away from Ais, glaring at Roy, her eyes sharp enough to pierce.

"Lefiya, are you okay?" Ais asked, noting Lefiya's oddly rosy cheeks, concerned something was wrong.

"I'm fine, no problem!" Lefiya waved her hands frantically, stealing a glance at Ais.

Relieved Ais didn't suspect anything from Roy's "idiot elf" jab, she shot him another glare.

If not for his big mouth, she could've lingered in Ais's arms—a rare chance ruined.

With her clothes needing washing, Lefiya couldn't bathe with Ais as hoped, especially since someone had to keep watch in the dungeon.

Unlike the surface, relaxing fully wasn't possible; monsters could appear anytime.

After Roy cleaned the blood off himself, he pulled Hestia's divine blood from his space and applied it to his back.

A warm sensation spread, and his Falna updated.

Using his phone from DxD, Roy photographed his back.

Before entering the dungeon, he'd spent 400,000 dimensional points to copy a part of Hestia's knowledge allowing him to read divine text.

Roy pondered.

A magic-stealing spell?

Memorizing another's magic effects and chant lets him use it?

Typically, adventurers had one to three magic slots.

Arcs Magica could exceed that limit.

Compared to Seven Deadly Sins, it was less outrageous but still powerful.

"Has a skill or magic allowing more than three spells appeared before?" Roy mused.

"Let's test it with Lefiya," he decided.

A mage was right here—perfect for experimenting.

"At this rate, I could hit Level 3 in five days," Roy calculated.

His basic abilities grew fast, fitting the deep floors' intensity.

Roy stowed his phone, used magic to create a flame to dry off, dressed, and stepped out.

"Roy," Ais approached, whispering, "Can I learn Lefiya's method?"

"Multitasking?" Roy asked, catching her intent.

"Would it make me stronger?" Ais's eyes brightened.

Roy stifled a laugh.

Of course she'd think that.

"Dual-wielding isn't for everyone," he said.

"You haven't mastered one-handed swordplay yet. Don't overreach."

In DxD, Kiba's dual-wielding thrived with his talents.

Without it, excelling required immense skill.

Not everyone had Roy's advantages.

"But you can practice it in spare time. It requires calm, gradual training," Roy added.

"Okay," Ais nodded, thrilled at another path to strength.

Roy approached Lefiya, smiling. "Lefiya, I need your help."

Wary of his enthusiasm, she asked, "What for?"

"I haven't seen your magic. Can you show me?" Roy asked.

"No problem," Lefiya agreed.

Displaying magic was no big deal.
