Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: The Clash of Katana and Stone

Hayato ,"Why are you even attacking and killing these innocent lives? Is it because our family protested?

Tarak stood tall, his eerie smile stretching wider with every second. His presence alone felt like a shadow creeping across the battlefield.

Hayato took a slow step forward, eyes fixed.

"With the mercy I still have, I offer you one last chance. Join us. But your little village… it's worthless. It isn't even recognized as a town. And Tarak won't be responsible when we destroy it."

Before he could finish, a voice cut him off sharply.

"I'll never agree with you!" Hayato roared, stepping forward, his fists clenched.

Tarak's smirk twisted into something darker. "Good. I'll remember this moment. My thanks…"

Suddenly, he dashed forward, eyes gleaming with killing intent. But before he could strike—BOOM!—a blinding beam of plasma ripped through the air, almost searing through his face. It tore a hole through the ground as Tarak twisted midair, barely dodging.

His smile faded for a moment.

"This guy… he's dangerous," Tarak muttered. "Umren! Wasp! Eliminate him!"

Umren and Wasp instantly obeyed, unleashing their attacks.

Because of using concentrated plasma magic Ryota will not be able to dodge by himself. But,

Ren dashed in, moving faster than the eye could follow. He saves Ryota from the attack.

"Ryota, now!" Ren shouted.

Ryota stands up and takes out his Plasma fang and uses plasma to form a blade.

The battle was between Umren and Wasp with Ryota and Ren.

Meanwhile, Tarak and Hayato stepped forward a heavy katana clashing with stone armour in

rapid succession. The blade struck his opponent's armor repeatedly—CLANG! CLANG!—but not a single crack appeared.

Hayato narrowed his eyes.

"If I can't pierce your body…" he muttered, "then I'll cut your head."

He faked a swing—then lunged forward and was ready to deal a fatal strike on head but got slammed a heavy punch straight into his gut. THUD! The force launched the Hayato backward. Dust flew as they crashed to the ground, gasping.

Hayato got up—barely as blood came out from his mouth.

But Tarak gave no time. He moved again—another punch, just as brutal. WHAM! The target was thrown even farther.

Still, he stood.

Tarak's smile returned. "Not bad."

But then—a shift.

Hayato entered the fight. He didn't rush. He waited. Dodged. Parried.

Every one of Tarak's heavy attacks missed by inches.

Then—a blur. Hayato ducked, spun behind Tarak, sword raised, ready to deliver a critical blow to the back of the head.

But—BAM! Tarak anticipated him. An elbow smashed into Hayato's ribs, sending him flying into a tree.

He crashed hard, the bark cracking under the impact.

"I thought you were powerful," Tarak said coldly, walking forward.

Hayato coughed, blood trickling from his mouth. But his eyes stayed sharp.

"I am," he whispered. He pushed himself up, legs shaking but determined.

"I won't lose… to this bastard."
