Chapter 122 - CHAPTER 122

Ay and Killer Bee

Ay and Killer Bee, accompanied by a perceptive Cloud ninja, intercepted a seven-man Konoha reconnaissance team deep in the border forests.

"I-idiot! B-bastard! Konoha's fools walked right into our path!"

Killer Bee burst onto the scene, rapping poorly as always, his tone taunting.

Ay stepped forward, imposing and stern, radiating killing intent as he stood beside his brother. The Cloud sensor-nin remained perched on a tree branch, focused solely on monitoring the battlefield rather than joining the fray.

The seven Konoha shinobi froze in alarm as they laid eyes on the approaching duo.

"T-That's the Blue Lightning of the Hidden Cloud!"

"And the Eight-Tails Jinchūriki—Killer Bee!"

"This is bad… really bad."

Their faces turned grim. The strongest among them was merely an elite Chūnin; the odds were stacked hopelessly against them. Not long ago, Ay and Bee had wiped out a Konoha squad led by two Jōnin. They would not survive this.

Their only option now was to wait for an opportunity to retreat.

Suddenly, the sensor-nin called out, "A high-speed chakra signature approaching from twelve o'clock!"

Even before he finished speaking, a blinding flash of lightning streaked toward Ay and Killer Bee.

"Supersonic Vibration Lightning Release Sword!"

Killer Bee infused his blade with Lightning Release chakra, causing it to vibrate at supersonic frequency—an advanced kenjutsu technique of his, surpassing even Wind Release in penetrative power. He raised his blade just in time to block the strike.

The force of the blow pushed Bee back several meters.

"Lightning Release: Lariat!"

Ay activated his Lightning Release Chakra Mode, charging in with a powerful clothesline aimed at the attacker.

But the enemy vanished with the Body Flicker Technique, reappearing at a distance before Ay could land his strike.

The sensor-nin's eyes widened as the figure came into full view.

"Black hair, red eyes… Sharingan… That speed—! It's the Blood-Eyed Shura! We've got to retreat!"

Ay, however, remained composed, a glint of excitement in his eyes.

"So… this is the one even our border patrols were told to avoid at all costs?"

The Uchiha stepped forward calmly, Sharingan spinning.

"Long time no see, Ay—son of the Third Raikage. And Killer Bee—the Eight-Tails Jinchūriki."

The Konoha shinobi collectively gasped.

"He's a Jinchūriki?!"

Ay narrowed his eyes. "Have we met?"

Chi Yu gave a nonchalant shrug. "Doesn't matter. I'm here to kill both of you."

Killer Bee pointed his blade at Chi Yu. "Me and Big Bro? We can't lose! I-idiot! B-bastard!"

The Konoha squad stepped forward hesitantly. "Lord Chi Yu, we'll support you!"

Chi Yu glanced back, cold and dismissive. "Stay out of my way."

The Konoha shinobi flinched. It wasn't unexpected—Chi Yu was infamous for his lone-wolf mentality, even toward comrades.

They silently retreated to a safe distance—far enough to escape if Chi Yu lost, but close enough to witness the battle between legends.

Chi Yu's Three-Tomoe Sharingan locked onto Ay and Bee.

"Come at me together."

Ay surged forward, Lightning Release chakra crackling around him.

"Lightning Release: Lariat!"

He shot toward Chi Yu like a blue bolt of lightning, fist cocked.

Chi Yu smiled as he pivoted just a step to the side. That slight movement caused Ay's strike to miss.

Ay's eyes widened in disbelief. That speed…

"Lightning Breathing: Sixth Form – Electric Blast!"

Chi Yu unleashed a burst of lightning-shaped slashes in all directions. Before the attack reached Ay, an octopus tentacle wrapped around him, shielding him from harm.

Ay landed beside Bee, panting. "Thanks. You okay?"

"Big Bro, I'm good!" Bee replied with a grin.

Both now regarded Chi Yu warily.

The rumors had been true—Chi Yu was fast. Extremely fast. Faster than even Ay, who prided himself on speed. His arsenal included high-speed Shunshin, multi-element ninjutsu, and the Uchiha clan's feared Genjutsu.

Ay muttered, "This guy's trouble. We take him together. Don't look into his eyes—he's a Uchiha. One glance and it's Genjutsu."

Bee chuckled, carefree as ever. "I'm a Jinchūriki, Big Bro. Genjutsu don't work on me. You just be careful."

Ay smirked. True—Killer Bee's mental link with the Eight-Tails made him virtually immune to Genjutsu.

"Let's do this, Bee!"

"Ready when you are, Big Bro!"

Together, they charged at Chi Yu.

Chi Yu bent low into a stance.

"Lightning Breathing: Third Form – Gathering Mosquitoes into Thunder!"

He spun rapidly around Killer Bee, forming arcs of lightning like a cyclone. The spiraling currents trapped Bee inside, cutting Ay off.

Chi Yu finished his seals.

"Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation!"

A vast sea of fire surged toward Killer Bee.

Reacting instantly, Bee shielded himself with his chakra-tentacles, leaping back through the blaze.

But Ay had already circled wide.

"Lightning Release: Lariat!"

Ay crashed into Chi Yu with full power, lightning surging from his shoulders.

Chi Yu grunted, pushed back, but recovered fast. He formed hand seals and slammed his hands to the ground.

"Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld!"

The ground beneath Ay liquefied, turning to mire and trapping his legs.

Chi Yu didn't stop.

"Summoning Technique: Rashōmon!"

From the shadows of his cloak, snakes erupted—venomous, fanged, and furious.

Killer Bee emerged from the flames, intercepting the serpents with a sweeping tentacle, knocking them away.

He yanked Ay free from the swamp.

The brothers regrouped and launched another attack—coordinated, precise, determined.

They would take down Chi Yu.
