Alpha Kendrick was dumbfounded by Rae's question; he wished that he hadn't agreed to Alpha Olsen's request.
"I should have stayed back, and Marcus would have fixed the tire, and we would be on our way. How dare she demand to know why these packs pay treaties to me? My father risked his life for the future they're enjoying now so the least they can do is show appreciation to him." Alpha Kendrick muttered to himself as he paid deaf ears to Rae's question.
Alpha Olsen showed Alpha Kendrick his room and also had a separate room for Rae. It was a feast happening at dawn, which meant they were going to pass the night in Solemn Rock City.
"How did you manage to bring the Lycan king to your pack?"
"We met him on our way here." Alpha Olsen responded to his Beta. The people of Solemn Rock City were so thrilled to have the Lycan King in their midst; most of them had heard of his tales but never got the opportunity to see him.
