Chapter 51
"What are you doing here?" Olsen inquired,
"I should be asking you that question." Alpha Kendrick growled wondering why he was still standing in the room.
"I'm here because she wants to take a walk with me. It's as simple as that, we want to have a conversation."
"A conversation huh?"
"Yes, your majesty."
"Well, she's going nowhere. You can…" Rae didn't even let Alpha Kendrick finish, she stormed out of the room, using the hallway out to the courtyard. She wanted to be alone, far away from Alpha Kendrick's grip on her and Olsen's choice of words.
She felt like she was trapped by two monsters trying to fight for who was going to eat her first.
She wasn't surprised at the weather, the distant sound of drums echoed in her ear. She knew it was preparations for the feast that Olsen mentioned earlier...
Rae breathed in deep. For the first time that night, she felt like she could think.
