Later during the day, I decided to try creating some villager units. I knew that villager characters were created from a building called a Town Center. I selected the buildings option, found the option to create a Town Center and soon set off to building a Town Center right near the well.
I finished this work in about two hours. Now I was ready to move into my new house which also doubled as a Town Center building. The next thing was creating villager units. I had earlier noticed while playing the game in my old world that the villager units either appeared as men or women with a pixelated appearance. I was curious to know what they looked like now that I had reincarnated into the game. Because of my new Town Center building, I now had an option in my status box to create a Villager. I touched it four times, intending to create four villagers.
The beings who appeared did not look like real humans. They resembled life size stone sculptures of a well built man and a well built woman. The both of them had red glowing magic stones fused into their chests. I realized that they were blank slated beings who only followed commands. Like chess men. I ordered the male villagers to gather wood and the female villagers to gather food. Both of them immediately summoned the required tools for the job and set off. I was able to monitor their activities through my status box and also take into account how much resources they collected. In short, they made my work easier.
A thought suddenly occurred to me that if the people in my old world were to ever get their hands on beings like these, they'd happily leech off of them by having their own way with them, like taking advantage of the fact that due to their stone body never feeling fatigue, they would make the perfect slaves in the job market. That and their minds being a blank slate that made them to obediently abide by the twisted rules without any complaints would be an added advantage.
However, I vowed that I would never misuse them like how people in my old world misused and abused their subordinates and those lower than them. I would cherish them to the last. As long as I was in this world, those who looked to me for succour would be cherished and well looked after. This was my first experience in creating these, villager golems.
