Luna stood in ankle-deep water, as the darkness around her unfolded into the world of an endless ocean. Waterfalls cascaded from above, hitting the ocean and splashing the water around with a monotonous hum. The ocean and the waterfalls stretched far past the horizon itself; she was unsure if there was an end.
Luna turned around, confused. I just, I was just asleep? Where am I?
To Luna, as she turned around fully, the place she was now in stretched far and wide, with only the same thing repeating.
Luna crouched and picked up the 'water' into her palms.
What is this place?
A shiny glimmer illuminated out of the water as Luna watched it slowly dissipate into the air. Letting it go, Luna wandered into the distance, moving closer to one of the giant waterfalls.
Looking up, the 'water' that splashed around kept hitting her body with a strong force. The calming sound of the waterfall reminded Luna of something.
Wasn't I here before?
Oh right, this place. I've been here before.
Luna looked straight into the sky, before taking the serene surroundings in awe into herself.
It was the place where I awakened the mana that a really weird old man taught us…
Why am I here? I don't understand… The waterfall is really loud, but really calming, weird
Is this a dream? Luna thought as she pinched her skin, feeling no pain she exclaimed "What?"
If this is really a dream, before I had those dreams but I woke up by doing something… Do I need to do something?
Niva?
Hello? Are you there? Hello?
Luna sighed at the silence of her own spirit. This isn't a dream, I guess…
The other time I was able to call him but… not now? So this isn't really a dream?
But… I didn't feel any pain…
Contemplating for a while, Luna sat down and lay onto the 'water', submerged up to the middle part of her ribcage.
Maybe if I fall asleep, then I might wake up… Let's give it a try.
Luna closed her eyes as she took a deep breath in, coughing in the process. Agh, This air is really sweet…
Brushing off all the thoughts, she relaxed her mind in the warm, sweet 'water', trying to fall asleep.
Minutes passed as Luna tried to fall asleep, but to no avail. The sounds of her surroundings were a bit too much for her to fall asleep but then, a strange feeling emerged in her chest—a sensation of sinking in, or of falling down from the sky.
She jolted upright from where she lay. No, no, no, I don't like that feeling.
Slowly, Luna stood up and looked around. Now that her confusion had settled, she could take in the scenery around her with a deep awe, even deeper than before. She smiled joyfully; her eyes reflected the beauty of the place she found herself in.
Suggestion: "Ah, it really is beautiful. I've never seen such a pretty place before!" Luna said, before reconsidering with a frown on her face. *Well, no, those meadows were just as pretty, I think...*
Well, that really leaves me with nothing to do, then…
"Let's explore!" Luna shouted at the top of her lungs. Unable to contain her curiosity, she ran across the ocean. The beauty of it was mesmerising, as if it was the holiest of places, it seemed.
The ripples Luna left behind as her boots seemingly gently landed contrasted with the brute force she kept placing her feet onto the ground.
The ripples stretched meters away from their origin point before dissipating into stillness.
As Luna looked at the waterfalls she passed by, it struck her as weird. The waterfall itself never left any ripples on the ocean, but whenever she touched the 'water', the ripples came to be.
The idea of it struck Luna as weird.
Dismissing it as nothing important for now, she picked up the pace, running as fast as she could, before she stopped to a halt, sliding across the 'water'.
Just as she stopped, she kept staring at one place in front of her near the horizon. A stroke of land started coming into existence, slowly emerging from behind the horizon.
The glimmer in Luna's eyes was evident even from far away. She felt the excitement that kept shaking her arms and legs; she couldn't resist it. So she didn't.
She ran towards the land, with a grin on her face from ear to ear.
The small adventure began for her.
