"This is totally unacceptable, it's absurd!" one of the men in the council thundered, his voice echoing through the room. "These break-ins, the ransacking of our homes, it's a travesty! We can't just sit back and do nothing."
Luca, standing nearby, urged the man to calm down, his voice firm but measured. "Councilman Orion, let's discuss this rationally. We understand your concerns, but we need to focus on finding a solution instead of making a scene."
But Orion's anger only intensified. "Rationally? You want me to be rational? I don't feel safe in my own home any more! None of us do. And you're telling me to be rational? It's outrageous!"
The room grew more agitated, with some council members nodding in agreement with Orion, while others seemed more cautious. Alpha Vlad, seated at the head of the table, watched the exchange with a keen eye, his expression unreadable.
