Chapter 4 - chapter 4: Manifesting spiritual energy

"This is not the first time I'm facing a life threatening opponent!" Chi exclaimed with the little confidence left in him, he looked at the 14' tall monstrosity.

When the monstrosity was about to make a move again, magic arrays appeared beneath it and hands came out from the arrays and grabbed it.

It's failure to move made it possible for chi to jump a few feet in the air. He hit it's neck with the sword which immediately cracked when it got in contact with the neck.

After landing he jumped back and noticed the elf he was about to kill cast his magic to help him.

'thank you,'

After that he turned to face the monstrosity.

"Do you know any of it's weak spots?!" Chi jumped dodging the monstrosity's attack. He landed on its hand then ran towards it but another of it's arms intercepted him forcing him to jump back to the ground.

When he landed he screamed a question to the elf while dodging another of the monstrosity's assault;

"Shit! Do you know any of it's weakness's or not?!"

The elf snapped back to reality, and remembered one of the lessons in class.

"Behind it, there is a huge gem. Just crush it," he hastily said.

Chi nodded and jumped onto it's arm then to its head.

The monstrosity struck it's on head in attempt to hit the agile chi. He saw the gem and jumped to smash it but long sword broke. The monstrosity also managed to free itself from the hands holding it.

After attaining it's freedom, with incredibly fast movements, it hit chi and sent him flying away then ran towards the elf who was not fast enough to react.

The elf braced himself for the blow but nothing came.

Ping!

Ping!

The sound of glass being struck was heard then followed the monstrosity's scretch. The monstrosity tried to shake chi off it's back but I was not working. It seemed like he had held on to something.

The elf saw this and then made his magic arrays, the monstrosity was held still for three seconds and that was enough for chi to finish the job. He ignored the bleeding on his right hand and He continuously struck the gem until it broke.

The monstrosity screamed until nothing came of it. Its huge body fell to the ground with a loud thud. Chi let go of the monstrosity's tail and just lay there on the ground remembering what he just did.

The monstrosity punched him away but it's size and speed became it's enemy. When it hit chi, it ran passed him as he was still in mid air. With his left hand he held the tail and started punch the gem behind.

"Hahahahahaha I'm the shit! I'm the shit! No one else is like Me!" He lay on the ground excitedly.

"How did you do that?" The elf slowly walked closer as to the dead monstrosity.

"Magic, wooo~" chi was to lazy to explain, right now he just wanted something that would help him recover. He looked at his bleeding hand.

"Sir, I'm sorry for having attacked you!" The elf kowtowed. He looked at chi with new found respect.

"Yeah whatever, If you can do healing magic it would be the right time to do it," chi dismissed the elf's apology.

The elf got and raised both his hands and then a huge, green, array appeared were chi lay. It took about a full minute but he saw the wounds disappear.

Chi excitedly got up, the magic was amazing.

"Wow, that's great. You must be a first rank healer or something," with a healthy smile chi said.

"No, sir. I'm the lowest of the low in this world"

"What sort of stupid shit is that? That's low? Are you calling me trash?" Chi directly jumped to conclusions. He slowly walked around the huge monster they had just defeated.

"No, sir. You must have great power of you were able to break that gem with your physical ability only." The elf looked at chi his eyes sparkling.

"No, I have no magic whatsoever. Not one that I know of at least," chi said. His disinterest in the conversation not being hidden.

"Is this your first time in this world?" The elf curiously asked.

"Yes, how do I even get the loot from this creature?" He asked his annoyance growing.

The elf was surprised after hearing chi's answer. A first timer in the spiritual world managed to defeat a grade three magic beast.

"The loot you were asking about, you can't collect if you don't know how to use magic," the elf stated.

"Oh, it's useless then." He said and began to walk away from the monstrosity.

"Sir you can still try. Activate your spiritual energy. It's easy," the elf hurriedly followed behind chi. He was unable to consume the meet or absorb it's spiritual essence because he was a grad behind it.

"You mean the aura like thing? I don't know how to do that. If I did I would be wrecking havoc right now," in the walking world, only the power four's and above could manifest aura. He was barely a power two so he couldn't do it.

"Sir, try inhaling. It's just as simple as breathing," the elf said as he struggled to catch up with chi.

"You think I haven't been breathing all this time? Are you stupid? And why are you following me? Logic says I should be following you since you're a native of this spiritual world." Chi said looking at the elf.

"No, sir. You're breathing but there are different methods of breathing," the elf stopped next to chi.

'shit, now he's going to teach me how to breath.' chi looked at the elf skeptically.

"Now breathing has skills? Don't be stupid." Chi was disappointed in the web novels, they portrayed elves as omniscient beings, but in reality they were stupid.

"Sir no, just try this. Take in a deep breath, control the flow of air in your lungs but exhaling imagine every hole on your skin is breathing," the elf explained in the easiest way he could.

"Hmm. Let me try."

Chi took a deep breath, and when exhaling he did what the elf said. When he exhaled, a vast amount of red spirit energy spread around him.

The elf looked at the spirit energy in amazement, he felt this pressure.
