As he screamed he approached the ground faster and faster. He saw the forest getting closer. Then scenes of his life flashed before his eyes.
'uh, this is like the 50th time my life is flushing before my eyes. The past three years were hell. But I will not die' he was resolute on the last part. His goal was to save this world from god and he was going to make it happen.
He tried and turn slowly in the wind as he approached the forest. He positioned his legs to land first.
'uhh, now how to activate that power,' he closed his eyes. He hated the desperate situations he was always in, but what was he to do about it.
After god descended onto the world, the world split itself into two. The spiritual world and walking world. In the walking world existed science and some magic and in the spiritual world existed magic and witchcraft.
The only people who had access to the spirit world had to be second power or above. In the spirit world dwelled demons, human, angels, gods and demi-human etc. how to enter was through meditation.
Calming oneself until the body left the walking world and entered the spiritual world.
To avoid this fall, leaving this world was the only option chi had. He was a first power but desperate times called for desperate measures.
As he was falling chi calmed himself down. And entered a meditative state.
The soldiers chasing chi watched as he fell to the ground. To them there work was made easier because him dying was there best interest. But what surprised them was the red light that shone.
They looked down at the light when it disappeared chi was nowhere to be seen.
"Guys, who is going to report to captain Orang?" An activist questioned his voice laced with fear.
"How stupid are you? We're not returning," another one said.
...
Chi's body materialized in the spiritual world. He appeared in a a cave, he could only see the light at the opening of the cave. He looked around and only saw some blood stains but ignored them.
'the gravity here is different from the walking world. Nice shit Simon, you grew stronger here?' the thought made him start laughing.
"Haha!"
"Shit! I freaking survived!" His voice echoed through the walls of the big cave. He finally had some breathing space and for that the spiritual world.
He got up and began to look around the cave. It was better to be safe than sorry.
'its the year 2037 if I count the years I was on that mission meaning I'm eighteen. Two years away from being an adult,' he reeled as he scouted the cave. At one corner of the cave he saw a silver glow.
"That looks interesting," when he reached the glow, he found a meter long sword on the ground. He picked it up and began to swing it around skillfully.
"Hm, I need to leave this place. I'd hate to find out that behemoth leaves here." He uttered to himself and walked to the exit.
As he approached the exit, the light grew much brighter. When he made it out he found himself standing in a mountainous area close to a forest. The skies were a deep shed of blue and they seemed to hum tails of ancient magic.
The sun was too bright here so he dared not to look. With the sword in hand he walked further leaving behind the mountains into the forest. It was better to be in the forest with food than the mountains with a threat of monsters.
"Well, the sun is hot here. Now, to look for what's important, civilization," he walked deep into the forest. As he walked he heard the ground shake. But ignored it.
"The spirit world is somewhat peaceful compared to the walking world. But how long can I even stay here?" He asked himself as he continued to walk looking around the forest.
About to take another step he saw a strange array forming on his ground. He jumped away quickly.
"What is that?" He said cautiously as he looked around.
"I'm surprised, a human managing to dodge my magic attack," a petite young man with long blonde hair and sharp ears said, his voice gentle yet dangerous. He was clad in a white shirt tucked into his fitting black trousers.
"Who are you?" Chi's grip on the sword tightened, he moved his legs apart standing in a v position.
"Me? I'm a little old elf trying to get a meal. The city is quiet far away, I can't make it without food."
Chi looked at the elf strangely, web novels, anime and movies on earth told stories about elves being peaceful creatures and this one wanted to eat him.
"I'm food?" Chi questioned skeptically, so the tails of elves had been a lie.
"Are you not?" The elf asked with a smile as more strange arrays began to appear.
Chi readied himself to fight looking at the arrays that had now completely surrounded him.
"A warrior, eating you will increase my spirit energy immensely,"
Chi head then launched at the elf with all his strength;
"Bulllshit!"
Before he could touch the elf with his sword, a huge, green arm's punch from the array sent him flying to the ground.
He immediately got off the ground and chopped off another green arm that was about to hit him making green blood spill all over his face.
He mad 360 swing slashing the hands that exited the arrays. The elf was about to make other arrays when he felt a blade bite his throat.
"Move, or do anything funny, You're dead. You hear me?" Chi's voice was low and venomous when he poised the question with only one possible answer.
"Okay, please... Please," the elf felt the blade dig deeper. There was simply nothing he could do.
Thump!
Thud!
The ground shook, rhythmically as if something huge was walking the ground. Chi looked at the face of the elf who had a horrified look on his face.
"Please, please let's run! Let me go!!" The elf screamed tears coming from his eyes. Chi thought he had succeeded in scaring the elf shitless.
"Please sir human, behind you. Lets... Please let me go!!" The elf begged but he did not dare move. When chi turned around he's eyeballs almost shot out of his eyes.
He lowered his weapon from the elf's throat and started retreating back, the elf immediately ran away. From the monster infront of him.
The grotesque face had some sort of carapace protecting it, the top body looked like a crab but the lower was one of an elephant and was just as huge.
'shit, I need to run too!' before he could the creatures arm had already connected to his head.
Bam!
The hit made drop the sword and made collapse to the ground. He spat a mouthful of blood with a tooth.
"I'm starting to hate these situations," he said to himself rolled towards the sword picked it up at stood in a fighting stance.
"This is not the first time I'm facing a life threatening opponent!" Chi shouted with the little confidence he had left. He looked at the 14' tall monstrosity.
