She stormed out of the car, and rushed towards him, her eyes showing hate and disgust. Her hands were fisted, and her teeth clenched together.
However, when she got close to him, her hands did the talking. She slapped him so hard that his face was actually turned towards the side.
"You bastard, I should have known!" She screamed, chest heaving as she stood there, allowing everything to settle in.
Silence filled the air, and even the other guy she swore she had seen before remained calm. His gaze alone showed there was a lot actually going on.
"What the hell?!" He screamed at her, touching the upper part of his lips where he felt sore. He was already bleeding, and I loved seeing him in this much pain.
"What was that for?" He explained, but she glared at him, her chest pacing. Her hands were still fisted, and she left him in the dark for a while before finally opening up.
"You teamed up with these guys to kidnap me, didn't you? All that was part of your plan to get me killed wasn't it?"
Silence echoed again, and his face was filled with so many expressions, but the most dominant one was the creased lines, raised brows and glaring gaze that showed confusion, and a demand for an explanation.
"What the hell are you talking about, huh? What are you saying now?!" He barked, but she wasn't going to let him get away with it.
"I'm saying that you hired them to kidnap me. I would never forget a face. Do you understand me?" I yelled, making him frown.
"I should have known bringing you here was a bad idea, you're causing a scene!"
Asena scoffed. "A scene? You don't even know what a scene is yet. I'll prove to you that you all are crazy!"
"ENOUGH!!!" He roared, veins popping up from his head. His red eyes showed how mad he was, but I wasn't ready to back down.
"I told you clearly that this isn't the man or rather the group. Yes, we do business together, but they don't kidnap, that's one of the things I don't know them for."
She fisted her hands. The more he explained, the angrier she got because she knew how much of a liar he was. She couldn't have mistaken him, she was able to see his face even if it was for a brief moment.
"They kidnapped me. I recall running away, and I escaped only by the grace of God."
"You know what?" One of the men who was there finally spoke up. "Maybe we should reschedule for another day because we can't take the insult being dished out here. Do you understand me?"
As he explained, he moved towards his car, leaving only Asena, and Ray. However, before entering the car, he paused, giving Asena a knowing look before he got into the car, leaving the place.
Asena on the other hand immediately walked away from there, and headed towards the car, making Ray angry. But since he didn't talk about it, he got into the car alongside her, and made sure to drive them home.
The drive was silent with everyone keeping whatever thought they had until they reached the mansion.
"Asena, wait up!" He screamed, but she got down as fast as she could, speedily going into the mansion.
Ray didn't waste time. He followed her from behind, his eyes fixed on her. "Asena!" He screamed, and this time he was able to grab her hand, pulling her towards himself.
In self-defence, she raised her hands, planning to smack him on the face, but this time he caught her hands, pinning her to the wall.
"Mmm!" Asena struggled, trying to break free from his hold, but he was way too strong. Seeing how much she struggled, he couldn't take it any more.
"What the hell is your problem?!" He asked, staring right into her eyes. However instead of a reply, she laughed.
"What's my problem?" She asked, and then shook her head. "You are my problem!"
The way she yelled made him pull back, he stared at her with so much confusion in his eyes. He didn't even know how else to say a word.
"You are not the same person I know. You aren't the same woman I know, and that's the truth!"
His eyes still didn't leave hers, but she rolled her eyes. "You were the one who never knew me, so don't you dare try to pin this on me this isn't my fault."
Ray was taken aback "Whose fault is it? You have been the one acting weird, and I have done all I can to make sure to cope with your excesses. I have made sure to love you the way I could. Despite you changing, I have been trying my best to cope with your new behaviour, but honestly…" He paused for a few seconds. "I just don't know any more. You're Not the same person I know."
"You want to know what happened to me, huh?" She asked, and he nodded, his ears itching to know. He still maintained the same position, his heart yearning to know what happened to the woman he loved so much.
Asena smirked, and then kicked him too hard, making him fall to his knees since he didn't have a firm stance because of the position they were in.
"Ugh!" He groaned loudly, trying his best to bear the pain.
However, there was a sense of joy in her heart. She felt satisfied, but that wasn't all. She was going to make sure that she explained everything to him.
She stared at him for a few seconds before crouching down to the level he was in. "You want to know the reason I am acting like this?" She asked with a raised brow, and then immediately answered the question.
"It's because the Pamela you know is dead, and there's nothing you or anyone can do about it."
