I knew it. I knew it was way too easy to believe.
Yes, she was my beloved—my second chance mate, the one gift I thought the Moon Goddess had finally sent to pull me out of the pit I'd been living in. But now? Now she's tangled up with others—others claiming to be bonded to her, claiming her as theirs—and I hate it.
I'm not fond of sharing. Not my things, not my space, and especially not my mate.
And yet here I am, staring at the reality of it.
Rose. She's not a thing, not a possession—she's a person, my person—and the idea of her having other mates, other bonds, makes something black and vicious coil in my gut. I've seen jealousy before, but this? This feels like a sickness.
