Silly witch. She really believes I'd leave her. The thought alone almost makes me laugh. Yes, she's a headache, an endless stream of chaos in human form. Every move she makes teeters between brilliance and utter stupidity—mostly stupidity. She leaps into danger with the same eagerness she uses to argue with me, then expects the universe to save her through sheer luck. And yet, despite it all, I can't bring myself to walk away.
How can I?
How can I abandon her when every fiber of my being is already shackled to her?
It's been barely two days—two damned days—since she stumbled into my existence and turned it inside out. I've lived for centuries, walked through empires, watched bloodlines rise and crumble into dust. Nothing ever changed me. No one ever stirred me. I was untouchable—cold, immortal, unfeeling.
