Looking around closer to the things around him Shinya saw it he saw all of it.
He saw multiple cellars with young women inside of them these women were not affected by the candy like situation of the whole area.
Besides them was the rest of the cellar like area that had barrels and multiple clearly not kept up conditions as the smell as well as the decay like scenario of the cellars were shown.
It was obvious these women were neglected and were clearly here to be bought or sold as slaves. This was something that Shinya was not familiar as it was not something that common in the human realm compared to other continents.
It was way more common in other continents compared to the human realm, so it came as a major surprise to Shinya, when he saw it.
All he could do was stand there dumbfounded for a few seconds before directing his attention back at the task at hand.
The important task of killing the king in front of him the king of the castle and potentially the lands.
Observing the king more he realized just what kind of king he was. Neglectful of his health he was a fat short man balding probably in his 40s with yellow teeth so it was also obvious he did not take care of his hygiene. Wearing what looked like royal clothes in the color purple it just made him look even more like a snob then he already was.
Shinya had enough of observing him and decided to break the silence of the scared looking king in front of him.
"Why, just why would you do all this and keep these women hostage and this land like this just what is going on?" Said Shinya seeking out the truth of the place they're at.
"We are in a carbon copy of the continent you can consider it I am one of the kings but I am just a copy of the king nothing you see in this place will be the real continent well, I am not sure about other continents but this one is just a copy I do not know about future ones." Said the king in a scared tone.
Shinya was taken aback by the king honestly expecting him to be an absolute asshole and refuse to answer any questions, but this was not the case astonishingly.
"So, then what is the continent originally like why everything looks like it has rose colored tinted glasses I mean Afterall this place is literally still medieval entirely yet nearly everyone is candy covered, and the trees and birds look straight out of a fairytale. "Said shinya wondering.
"Well, this place is known for that this continent is like that because of a curse placed by a witch that is long gone but is still there, until cannibalism, slavery, and hierarchy is gone this place will stay the same. The three things that this continent runs on. "Said the king in a serious tone.
"Why not just stop it why not just end it all? "Said shinya.
"It's not that simple and I don't have enough authority to talk about it child you must know. For slavery is good it keeps the population under control, and it keeps several things going and growing for the economy these things are a key part of society the bad side Afterall no society is perfect Afterall so it is fine this must be the way for it to keep going child. "Said the king in a snobby tone.
As he began to walk across the cellars with his big cane just banging on the cellars looking at the young girls covered in rags with a dirty evil expression across his mouth.
This absolutely enraged shinya he knew he wouldn't get anymore answers out of this man.
He might not have even known the truth of the situation entirely just bits and pieces to make it seem like he understood the society, but he didn't completely either.
It was clear there was still secrets to be shown in the future he needed to see the truth of it. Though this man would not answer or give him the necessary answers.
In the split of an instance shinya grabbed his gun holstered to his side and put a bullet between the head of the man they called the king. With blood flying everywhere and his brain's all over the ground of the cellar now.
The girls in the cellars began to freak out but shinya did not do anything but unlock the doors to their cellars. It was up for the girls to decide what they would do now that they were free or if any of what they were experiencing was real at all.
Shinya once again had more questions than answers.
Walking up and out of the cellar he once again saw it he saw the sunset as he raised up and headed towards the room where Lucas was once at as out of the window he could see it. He could see the sunset slowly falling as the beauty encapsulated everything around shinya like life wasn't real once again.
As he walked across multiple guards shooting them straight in the head till he reached the room where Lucas was at and that's where he saw him on the ground.
"Took you long enough wouldn't you say so asshole?" Said Lucas on the ground just playing with his sniper rifle type of gun with Irene to the side of him laying her head on his lap.
"So, what happened?" Said Irene looking curiously over to shinya.
"Apparently were in a carbon copy of a continent or part of one this isn't real none of these people even the king himself couldn't answer all my questions none of it makes sense. "Said shinya with the questions left up in the air like a thought bubble.
With all three of them in deep thought they eventually got up and new they had to leave onto the next area they could find.
