x130: Baby's Death
"Looks like you still can't beat me!" Son Goku laughed, the red fur of his Super Saiyan 4 form gleaming with energy.
"Baby's enormous form is a double-edged sword. Although his power and speed remain formidable, he's lost crucial flexibility," Li Xu thought to himself. He had encountered this vulnerability before overwhelming size often sacrificed adaptability.
"Damn it!" Baby roared, standing tall in Vegeta's mutated Golden Oozaru form. He raised a colossal hand, firing a barrage of explosive energy spheres at Goku with maniacal force.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Son Goku nimbly dodged the blasts using Instant Transmission and aerial maneuvers, but the explosions devastated the surface of Planet Tuffle, igniting a blazing inferno that threatened the innocents still under Baby's control.
"That's enough!" Goku's brow furrowed. He couldn't allow more innocent Tuffles or Earthlings controlled by Baby's parasites to suffer.
"Hahahaha! I love watching you struggle, Son Goku!" Baby sneered, his smirk full of cruelty.
"Unforgivable!" Goku shouted, rushing forward in a blur. He formed a dense blue energy sphere between his palms.
"Kamehameha!"
With a thunderous roar, he unleashed the full might of a 10x Kamehameha, the powerful red-tinted beam screaming toward Baby.
Boom!
The beam smashed into Baby's colossal chest, engulfing him in a titanic explosion. The blast lit up the sky with searing heat and shockwaves.
"Direct hit!" East Supreme Kai cheered. "Goku just used his tenfold Turtle School shockwave, it's leagues stronger than the standard Kamehameha!"
But the celebration was premature. As the smoke cleared, Baby emerged from the dust cloud, scorched but unharmed, his deranged grin still plastered on his face.
"Haha! I'm invincible!" Baby boasted.
"Invincible, my ass," Li Xu scoffed. "You're just a hunk of meat with thick skin. You can't even regenerate from a severed limb don't pretend to be immortal."
"Now try dodging this, Goku! Even if you escape, the people on this planet won't!" Baby taunted. A cruel energy sphere began forming between his massive palms.
"Damn it… If I move, the others will be vaporized!" Goku clenched his teeth.
"Revenge Death Ball!" Baby howled, hurling the massive orb at Goku.
"Kamehameha!"
Goku, with no choice, countered it head-on. His own energy sphere met Baby's, and the two clashed in a violent storm of light and fury.
"Damn! I didn't charge it long enough!" Goku shouted, straining under the force.
The collision exploded violently. Goku was flung across the battlefield like a meteor, crashing into the ground and disappearing beneath the rubble.
"Grandpa!" Pan screamed from inside the ship, watching through the glass monitor. She pounded on the screen, but her voice couldn't reach him.
The smoke parted, revealing Goku's battered body half-buried in a crater.
"Haha! I could end you now, Son Goku!" Baby cackled. His body trembled with power, and another energy sphere began forming, this one seething with corrupt energy.
"If he fires that here, the planet will be annihilated. He won't even have time to escape…" East Supreme Kai said grimly.
"He's beyond reason. He only wants to kill Goku, no matter the cost," the Elder Kai added.
"Li Xu… can't you save Grandpa?" Pan asked softly, tugging at Li Xu's arm.
"Don't worry. Goku will pull through," Li Xu said with a confident smirk.
Suddenly
"Aaaargh!" Baby cried out as the energy in his hand flickered and dispersed. He dropped from the sky, clutching his chest.
"What's happening?!" he muttered in panic. Then it dawned on him. "That damn 10x Kamehameha… it did more damage than I thought."
Goku slowly rose from the rubble, panting heavily.
"That blast shook your insides more than you admit," he said, grinning.
"Nonsense! I just underestimated you!" Baby retorted, trying to steady himself.
"Stop bluffing. Your body's falling apart," Goku said.
"I'll take you with me this time!" Baby roared, lunging toward Goku with both massive hands.
"Come on then!" Goku taunted. As Baby reached, Goku zipped upward and slammed his fist into Baby's temple.
Baby roared and retaliated with a powerful swat, sending Goku flying. Both crashed to the ground once more, exhausted.
"Looks like they're both down," Li Xu chuckled.
"What now? Grandpa and Baby are both unconscious!" Pan asked, worried.
"You're strong, right? Just go finish off Baby and be done with it," Pan said, turning to Li Xu.
"That's Goku's fight," Li Xu replied calmly.
"But he's out cold!" Pan protested, tears brimming in her eyes.
"…Fine." Li Xu finally nodded. Goku had already proven his strength as a Super Saiyan 4. Whether Baby lived or died now wouldn't change the outcome.
"But Baby is in Vegeta's body. Killing him means killing Vegeta too," East Supreme Kai warned.
"Is there a way to save Grandpa Vegeta?" Pan asked again, eyes pleading.
"It's simple." Li Xu smiled.
In a flash, Li Xu vanished and reappeared beside the fallen warriors.
"I've never killed someone this weak before," Li Xu muttered. Still, it wasn't worth hesitating over.
With a swift kick, Li Xu sent Baby's body soaring into the sky. He followed instantly and landed a precision punch to Baby's gut.
"Get out of there!"
With a thunderous bang, the Tuffle parasite was expelled from Vegeta's body, reverting him back to his normal form.
Strong enough force with tight energy control made such separation possible just as Goku had once done in Dragon Ball Heroes with the Neo Machine Mutants.
"It's over."
Ignoring Vegeta's falling body, Li Xu teleported behind the airborne Baby and formed a blazing energy sphere.
Boom!
The energy ball consumed Baby and rocketed him into the distance. A mushroom cloud rose on the horizon as Baby was obliterated.
"So boring…" Li Xu muttered, floating back to Goku.
"Catch."
He tossed Goku a Senzu Bean. It wouldn't return him to full power, but it was enough to heal his wounds.
Whizz!
A brown blur shot out of Vegeta's mouth Uub, turned into chocolate and swallowed earlier by Baby. He had willingly allowed himself to be eaten to buy time.
But in the end, Baby didn't fall to Uub or even Goku but to Li Xu, who ended the Tuffle parasite in a blink.
