Chapter 21 - Chapter 6 Natural Disaster Descends_3

[Office location selection completed, reward has been issued]

Whew...

Lin Miao glanced at his backpack and the system interface. There were quite a few new items, but unfortunately, this system isn't the kind where the game world directly gives you experience. It only displays some materials or performance metrics in data form, so you can't just complete tasks and level up automatically.

Even as a player, you have to gain experience through practice, inserting a Neural Chip, or self-development to master new skills. Of course, some people might already know quite a lot in real life and might enter the game with skills like Basic Firearms Mastery.

There are 2 hours left until players come online.

[System! Let me see your limits!]

Buzz!!!

As soon as Lin Miao finished speaking, a certain buzzing sound started resonating throughout the basement. Waste paper fluttered without wind, scattered everywhere, electric currents crackled in the air, and even his hair began to stand due to electromagnetic forces.

Perhaps it was an illusion, but Lin Miao seemed to see a bunch of blue data codes appear out of thin air on the ground, flickering, but it only lasted for a short moment. After the stream of data disappeared, five bio-modification pods that looked somewhat like coffins appeared on the ground.

They looked like they were made of metal and transparent polymers, with ample internal volume, enough to fit a single-door refrigerator. They resembled those hibernation pods and medical pods from science fiction movies, with arms folded on the insides of the capsule. The system said this device came with prosthetic modification and biological treatment functions; this should be it.

[System, doesn't this thing need electricity?]

[The modification pod can use biomass to generate electricity or can be equipped with a power cable separately, and it has wireless power transmission capabilities. It can supply a small amount of power to nearby system devices but is not recommended for long-term use; an external power supply is still needed.]

Biomass power... Does it consume meat...

Lin Miao wanted to ask if he could move this thing out and sell it for money. After all, burning people or burning oil shouldn't make too much of a difference in this world.

But he quickly shook his head, brushing the thought away. Taking this thing out would definitely bring disaster. As for getting electricity now, it's not possible either. The power company had long cut off this area, and even if there was power, using it would attract those companies like sharks smelling blood.

After sighing, Lin Miao obediently released another task reward, the biomass extractor. Its appearance method was similar to the modification pod, but its size was much larger.

Moreover, the system was very intelligent and seemed to have already scanned the entire underground warehouse space. A biochemical mechanical device occupying one-third of the space seamlessly integrated with the entire basement, with cables neatly laid out. The right side featured a large enclosed container, and the left had a massive polymer tank filled with a yellow unknown solution, directly connected to the five bio-modification pods. The overall structure was mostly white but retained blue strip indicator lights in some areas.

[The basement is remodeled. Would you like to start generating player bodies]

[Yes]

As Lin Miao agreed, the indicator lights of the biomass extractor started flashing. The solution level in the tank gradually dropped and flowed through the connecting pipes into the modification pods. As the liquid filled the pods bit by bit, a faint blue glow also emitted from the inner walls, seemingly designing a human body.

Skeletons, nerves, muscles, internal organs, brain — the blue light formed a virtual human body. Then, pink filaments began to appear in the yellow solution, shaking like amoebas in the liquid, and visibly growing to form nerves, with white particulates emerging to form skeletons.

All five pods were simultaneously undergoing a miraculous process of biological manufacturing, not cloning, but generating a human body from scratch.

Lin Miao stared blankly for over ten minutes, and inside the liquid, a complete skeletal structure and partial nerves had already formed, with muscles starting to attach to the bones and grow bit by bit.

[How much longer is expected]

[30 minutes]

Lin Miao withdrew his gaze and focused his attention on the new page that appeared in the system.

First is the architectural system, which is presented as a tree diagram structure, divided into three major phases, with numerous finer branches in between, extending upwards from the most basic, auto-activated elementary office design blueprints.

From small employee dormitories, small hydroponic workshops, and a power storage station to later facilities like steel mills, chemical plants, protein synthesis engineering, armament factories, nuclear power stations, and even space orbital ports, it covers every detail. However, there is no sequential connection between them. If one has the ability, one can even leapfrog technology.

But more regrettably, it's all gray. This requires blueprints to be activated, and cannot be directly produced out of thin air like the existing equipment. Players must form engineering teams to construct them; the more people, the faster the construction. If similar devices are added, the progress can be accelerated. However, not everyone can build them. Buildings after stage two at least require an engineer to lead, but that already involves player professions.

The system only provides building blueprints; the previous remodel and extractor belong to physical cards that already exist.

Where do the blueprints come from?

Lottery

The lottery page is also divided into three-stage card pools: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, generally corresponding to different stages, and several other pages are likely the same.
