Chapter 22 - Chapter 6 Natural Disaster Descends_4

Lin Miao just completed his mission and got 10 basic card pool lottery tickets without even thinking.

Let's do this!

He tossed all ten tickets in.

Wow!

Blue skies and white clouds!

Just kidding, this lottery system has no guarantees, and in the basic card pool, there are only gray + white and a small chance of green equipment, everything else is non-grade items, and it seems like the card pool is limited, once the items are drawn, they're gone.

There are two small food exchange coupons, but they're not for frozen meat or vegetables, they're canned.

[Braised Beef Cans 150g*100]

[Five Kinds of Fruit Cans 150g*100]

[Waste Recycling Separator*1]

[Small Press*1]

[Multifunctional Handmade Workstation*1]

[Level Ⅲ Bulletproof Vest*1]

[Employee Recruitment Contract (can be signed with living beings in the current world, PS: requires mutual consent)]

[Medical Box*1]

[Dagger*1]

[Old Unified Pistol*1]

The system also prompted the next mission

[Office Establishment Step Two: Employee Recruitment]

[Having land without people won't do, how can you run rampant in this sinful world without lackeys? Without employees, how can you call yourself a qualified capitalist? So go and find yourself some low-wage hard-working slaves.]

[Reward: Basic Employee Uniforms*Number of Employees, Basic Card Pool Draws*Number of Employees]

Lin Miao looked at the items in his backpack and nodded. He wasn't sure if this luck was good or bad, but the players wouldn't wake up for another hour or so, so Lin Miao decided to leave the basement to figure out the uses of these drawn items and find a relatively hidden place to try them out and then come back. Besides that, he also had to act as the copywriter, writing a clumsy story to at least roughly explain the game's opening reason.

Although most players wouldn't care about such things.

As for the mission, it's estimated that once the players log in, it will automatically complete, though it's a bit small, but there's no choice in the initial stage.

.....

The data space on the game login page looked quite marvelous, the Wildman in this unknown space couldn't see his body but could sense the existence of his limbs. No matter how he moved, his body lying on the bed in reality remained still, it was really like being asleep, breathing was steady, and upon waking, there was even a feeling of being called up right after falling asleep.

All sorts of signs indicated that the so-called "Future Horizon" developer was serious, and who knew which company Ah Shui works for, never heard of such an awesome enterprise before.

The Wildman looking at the countdown ticking towards zero, heart pounding, said excitedly, "Here we go, Cyberpunk 2075, here I come."

Eventually, when the time reached 00:00:00, the data world in front of the Wildman's eyes started shaking, his body that was floating in mid-air seemed to lose support, the whole person fell into an abyss, and his vision went black.

"What the hell!"

There was a strange shout from the basement, a young man with a naked upper body suddenly sat up straight from the open modification chamber, gripping the chamber walls tightly, gasping for air, afraid of falling and getting killed, after all, the data space had no leap of faith or haystacks.

The other three people in the chamber also woke up simultaneously

They looked at each other, one of them tentatively asked,

"I'm the Assassin, can't be Brother Ni, you guys are..."

The other three also responded one after another,

"I'm the Wildman Punch."

"West Lake Seafood Giant."

"I'm... I'm Potato, damn, should've known not to use a screen name when registering the forum, damn it, can't even customize the character design and gender, it's heartbreaking."

The giant touched his own face, "Damn, I seem to have gotten younger, this face seems random."

His originally middle-aged rough skin was now like a young person's, and his slightly obese stomach was gone, he felt and sighed,

"Not bad."

"What the hell." Brother Ni furiously wiggled his nose, seemingly never having smelled such a muddled and damp air, carefully examining the surrounding environment and his body wearing only underwear,

"This air, these walls, this modeling, damn, could it be Huang Renxun was caught by this company, instantly refined, exploded with RTX-10086 ultimate color rendering?"

Hearing Assassin Brother Ni's astonishment, the others finally realized they were in a world that seemed very close to reality.

The Wildman shook his head, "Hard to say, we're in an enclosed space now, without lights, we need to go outside to see how it really is."

The giant said, "Even so, it can still beat all current games on the market, awesome. When I go back, I'll tell my wife we should sleep in separate rooms. Games are more alluring than women."

While the four of them were talking, the basement door was pushed open, bright light flooded into the dim space, a man wearing blue-black combat uniform and sunglasses, outfitted in a bulletproof vest, with a pistol at his waist walked in from the bright lights behind, appearing as a blurry human-shaped silhouette to the four.

Lin Miao sized up the four, nodding slightly at the absence of bizarre species.

"Awake, seems your surgery was successful."

The four exchanged glances, the giant muttered, "Is this an NPC? He looks pretty badass, I thought it was the Terminator knocking on the door."

Lin Miao pretended not to hear their murmurs, pointing at the stacked street-style clothing on the side, he said,

"These are the clothes prepared for you, put them on, and come with me."

In Night City, basic survival supplies are dirt cheap, as long as you can endure sleeping on the street, not bathing, not worrying about getting sick and needing medicine, and maintaining the bare minimum to survive, 3 euros or even 1 euro a day is more than enough to get by.

Of course, that's just surviving.
