Chapter 18 - Chapter 17 - Ethereal Gauntlet

Seygah and Monaoka stand face-to-face. "Welcome, Seygah. From here on out all logic goes out of the window!" At this point Seygah has already returned to his base form. They fight. With every attack narratives break down entirely, any type of infinite hierarchy is rendered irrelevantly fodder at this point. They both pull off silly moves against each other, working on a higher ontological level of power. Seygah transforms, becoming more powerful, the two worlds form in his hair. "So you've transformed I see. Let's go then!" Monaoka yells as he dashes forward and crashes into Seygah. Seygah whips around, does two unnecessary backflips and turns into a tank, he snickers and fires a copy of himself out. It goes through Monaoka. With disappointment, Seygah's fair flows down and the two worlds in his hair spring outwards and coil, somehow he became more powerful. "What even are y—" Monaoka gets interrupted, Seygah crashes him into the large closet. "Ouch!" They continue to clash and fight until he transforms, Monaoka. A coat and bolts of absolute power surround his body, two massive arms stick out of him and his eyes iris and pupils disappear. "Submit, Seygah."

"Never."

Seygah matches his energy and transforms, but he becomes armored. His hair gets put in a pony tail, he has golden colored armor all over his body, and orbs surrounding him, he grows six eyes and they too are armored. The first eye can see verses, the second can see thoughts and emotions, the third can see abstractions, the fourth can see every cosmology below The Outsides of Outsides (which is every cosmology), the fifth eye can see how he will win in every battle, the sixth eye can see the one behind the text. Monaoka's giant arm thrusts towards Seygah as Seygah releases a wave of his power, they clash. The entire child's bedroom scene is being heavily warped and destroyed as they clash. The clash breaks, Seygah whips around Monaoka and punches him, he falls and is still. Seygah is then met with a portal to another location.

He stood on what seems like an endless vaporwave grid, neon illuminations all around. Standing before him, Cataclock. His eyes being a red clock and a purple atom-shaped symbol. "Finally. You've come." Cataclock speaks with such confidence in his voice, as if he knows without a doubt he will win. "What's your game? You Ethereal Lords…why are you dudes even doing all of this?" Seygah asks with a mix of distress and annoyance, he fixes his ponytail. "Those Cyclones…Canon and Non-Canon. Because of you, these Cyclones will be destroyed and everything in all Fiction will be totally eradicated," Cataclock explains. "We need you to enter Seygah Truth, the 2.0 version, one that is stronger and more powerful, to repair the Cyclones and save Fiction."

"Seygah Truth 2.0?"

Cataclock sighs, slightly trembling. "Alright, listen. Seygah Truth is the typical nature of other Seygahs, aggressive and murderous. To put it simply— Seygah Truth is like a transformation when enough anger and stress is induced, the Seygah's hair turns red and wavy, one side of their face is shadowed and their eyes become impossibly sinister. You, though, have been through a lot and you still haven't transformed yet, I wonder why."

Seygah listens to Cataclock's explanation and then smiles, "it's because I am not existing as just another Seygah. I am not Seygah, instead I am a vessel for something higher than high. Something beyond the beyond of beyonds, ineffably incomprehensible and above. Something that can explain why I never lose," Seygah says.

"Utterly ridiculous. You're just trying to frighten me." Cataclock dismisses. Waves of unimaginable power flow through the domain they're in. They begin to fight. At this point infinity of any greatness is just another concept that's died, fate is nothing, and even logic is completely thrown out of the window. With absolute absurdity and ridiculousness, Seygah and Cataclock battle in which shakes the Cyclones. Cataclock's eyes begin to look into Seygah, "how could he possibly always win?" He saw something, someone, perhaps nothing at all. It was like looking into everything and nothing, even with his authority over the Cyclones, Cataclock could not make out this ineffable being, it's above identity. With a jolt of fear, Cataclock takes a new form, both sides of his face purple and red, his eyes full of what seem to be clocks, behind him is massive clock. These clocks do not have relevance to conventional time, but rather, an item of authority over the Cyclones, the time beyond all concepts of all times. It didn't make sense, then again, when you've reached a certain level of power, nothing makes sense and nothing has to make sense. Seygah reverts to his base form, he looks at Cataclock confidently. Without moving, Cataclock is damaged from attacks, though there's nothing actually there. "What is even happening? How am I being damaged?" Seygah wanted Cataclock to be hurt, he's not actively doing it, it's passively happening, of course he can turn it off. Seygah then obliterates Cataclock into nothing, just like that. Seygah is brought somewhere else in The Outside of Outsides.

He arrives at what seems to be some nightmare. There was nothing but darkness, a primordial void of evil, an ontological hellscape. Seygah looked around and saw the absence of nothingness. "Hello, Seygah~," a voice calls out. Nelphim makes his way to Seygah. Compared to the others Seygah's fought, Nelphim is far more superior. "Let's change things up a bit~." Nelphim says. Something begins to change.

Seygah: What? How did you do that?

Nelphim: Oh? So you can see it too…the words?

Seygah: What kind of ability is that?

Nelphim: Nothing special really, I simply changed the story's layout.

Seygah: What…? Wouldn't that mean you can change the story entirely? Like…make it go your own way?

Nelphim: Yes…well, no. Anything related to you won't work, since you're resistant to it.

Seygah: What? I'm resistant to…how do you even word it?

Nelphim: You're resistant to all forms of rewriting on all levels.

Seygah: How can you even tell? How do you know?

Nelphim: It's in your character notes…in an entirely different platform.

Seygah: Character notes? (His eyes sparkle) Oh, I see it…

Nelphim: Now, you may be surprised of the difference between me and the other Ethereals…

Seygah: Yeah, you're like extremely different.

Nelphim: I'm…overpowered you could say. Ontologically above all others.

Seygah: So why am I fighting you instead of…that one dude?

Nelphim: (Eyes widen) Wait…yeah…why is that? I should be last because I'm stronger…

Seygah: …oh. It's because you're simply not, at least not anymore.

Nelphim: Shut up…just shut up. We're going to fight now, so…let's do it.

They clash repeatedly, in this void of nigh impossible ontology, everything collapses, including logic. They both battle over the story, but Seygah comes out on top of that.

Seygah: So far, it seems I've got the upper hand, wouldn't you say?

Nelphim: I'm not even trying, silly~!!

Seygah: What are you…?

Seygah had unlocked and undergone several transformations by now.

His first form: Horns curved down, a black mark going down the right side of his face.

His second form: Horns curved up, white wings, no mark.

His third form: Horns curved up, two black marks going down both sides of his face, a psychotic smile.

His fourth form: Four white marks on each corner of his face, horns, wide eyes and a crazy smile.

His fifth form: Hair is white and spiky with worlds in it, the worlds look like swirls. His eyes are glowing white.

His sixth form: The opposite of fifth, black spiky hair, exists as a void. Black eyes with no mouth and veins bulging all throughout his body, and a dark aura.

Nelphim: Spamming transformations huh? If you were actually powerful, you'd only need one, to unleash your full unrestricted power, not to become more powerful or anything, because you'd be above potentiality, like me~!

Seygah: (His black spiky hair flowing on its own) You're right. So why haven't I lost yet? Is it because your power is restricted?

Nelphim: Yes, but only because I choose to~!

Seygah: Fine. I'll…figure something out then…how can I become more powerful? How can I transcend even potentiality?

Nelphim: Don't bother…my turn to change.

Nelphim takes a new form. His horns become longer and gets two more next to his longer horns, his eyes is piercing. He has two spikes floating next to four sides of his body, up, down, left, and right with an orb in between each. He has a clock on his forehead. He gazes down at Seygah.

Nelphim: Like what you see~?

Seygah: I…not really.

Nelphim: Hmph~! How mean~!

Seygah: Stop being flirty, weirdo…

The battle continues on, Seygah being completely overpowered, Nelphim only playing around. Seygah changes, still in his sixth form, he's suddenly going toe to toe with Nelphim.

Nelphim: What? How are you…?!

After a bunch of blows, Seygah proceeds to eradicate Nelphim, but he comes back.

Nelphim: You're annoying. I'm getting tired of you!

Seygah: Good, because I'm not going anywhere! Enough of the "ontology" nonsense, I'm clearly beyond you.

And with a swipe of Seygah's hand, Nelphim's gone. He isn't coming back this time. Seygah is led to the final Ethereal Lord. Hagyes. There is an orb, hovering in the nothingness of absolute nothingness. The Outside of Outsides final point.

Hagyes: How did you…get here so quickly?!

Seygah: Well…I have a better question. How are you above Nelphim?

Hagyes: I…I just am. I don't know. Something gave me that authority or…something like that.

Seygah: What? That's vague.

Hagyes: It's irrelevant. You're here now and here's what that means. You've reached the final point of The Outside of Outsides. There are indeed infinite-sized infinite hierarchies, dimensional and beyond all dimensions. There are also infinite stories with their own infinite-sized layered cosmologies, all separate from one another, ranging incomprehensibly high like the "07th Expansion" verse or as small as an average story like "Clannad" or whatever. Again, endless amounts of these. The Outside of Outsides has a library, it's called THE Library, it contains all of these stories, even…this one.

Seygah: This one?

Hagyes: Yes. "Ethereal Infinitum." Tacky name, tries a bit too hard…perhaps it should be changed.

Seygah: …wow. Well…to what?

Hagyes: Well. How about…whoever wins…decides!

Seygah: Silly but sure, why not? (Reverts back to base form)

Hagyes: Huh? You can still exist here in base?

Seygah: Oh, I can! I didn't even…

Hagyes: Doesn't matter. Back to what I was saying. There are nigh-infinite variations of verses (universes, multiverses, omniverses, etc.) and an infinite amount of each. There are also ontological layers separating existences that view the lower layers as fiction. Upon all stories and cosmologies, and more, this one, Ethereal Infinitum, views all of those stories as fiction, as it's placed only a few layers below the real world. Not like…you know…where the one behind the text resides.

Seygah: Again with that. Who is the one behind the text?

You know.

Hagyes: Let's get this started…and settled!

Seygah: Who will be the new Ethereal Lords though?

Hagyes: The author will decide that!

Seygah: The author? Is that the one behind the text?

Hagyes: Yes, and no. There's actually a lot of people behind the text, it's just the reader put it simply.

Seygah: Just say reader next time…

Hagyes: Yes, yes whatever! Let's just go!

They clash together. Seygah changing into multiple transformations as the intense battle progresses. At this point, any and all quantifications of their power will always be an understatement. Seygah reaches his sixth form.

Hagyes: Well…my turn.

Hagyes transforms into what appears to be a biblically accurate angel. With two wheels surrounding him, covered in eyes, eyes all around his head. He throws his wheels at Seygah, Seygah turns into his fifth form, his white-haired form. He looks at these numbers, and he changes them, he surfs through digital calculations and processes, Hagyes following behind him frantically. Seygah edits Hagyes' character notes, Hagyes loses his angelic form and reverts to base. Seygah then pushes them both back to where they were.

Hagyes: You bastard! You wanna play that game?! You wanna totally rewrite characters? Do that…but just know that I still have my other transformation!

Seygah: I'll just take away that one!

Before Seygah goes to edit Hagyes' character notes, Hagyes' face goes black and he attacks Seygah. After a series of attacks, Hagyes' hair spikes up, turning black, his face going back to normal.

Hagyes: Victory is mine!

Hagyes rushes to the hovering orb, he pulls out the infinity gauntlet.

Seygah: Did you really just…

Hagyes proceeds to become connected to every reader, and even non-reader as long as they're alive, he'll prevail. But Seygah simply denies it and gets his way, severing all the ties and smashing Hagyes.

Hagyes: You're too broken! This is dumb…this isn't even your true form!

Seygah: Nah. But…this is my first true forms!

Seygah begins to change. His eyes become black, and his pupil and iris white. His hair flows up like fire, turning white. His body a tanned color. He smiles.

Seygah: Finally…I've been itching to come out.

Hagyes: So this is it…your true form?

Seygah: More like partially my true form. My TRUE TRUE form doesn't have a visible form at all. A better word would be avatar.

Hagyes: So what…do you do? What are you? What's the point of this?

Seygah: I can do all things, I know absolutely everything, and I'm everywhere. I have no limits, I'm bounded by nothing at all. As for my true form, all things, even meaning itself, collapse into nothingness. This form I'm using allows me to interact freely.

Hagyes: No way…

Then, Hagyes bursts with power granted by… Me, the author. He becomes a stick figure with a pencil and a cape.

Hagyes: What the?

Seygah: Even the author intervened. It seems you're now the embodiment of every character in fiction including me, so you're the perfect character.

Hagyes: Yes…but….

Seygah: I'm still above you.

Even as Hagyes uses every single ability, hax, from every character including Seygah himself, he still cannot compete.

Seygah: I can't be beaten. You can become any fictional character you want, any OC you wish, I'm still above you. One more fiction layer broken and I'd be in the real world.

Hagyes: Shut up! I get it…you're just…unbeatable and broken! Whatever…

Seygah: Now then. The Cyclones are fixed, fiction is safe. I'm done here.

Hagyes: Wait…but don't you still have identity and potentiality?

Seygah: No, and try to use any hax against me that supposedly works I'd just not let it work. Even if someone works the same as me, they simply aren't me.

Hagyes: Fine. Whatever. You win.

Seygah: To clarify, though…Seygah is just a name I dubbed myself. What I really am is just myself, I'm the reason powers, abilities, hax and more exist for characters in the first place.

Hagyes: Jeez…

Seygah: Now, this is where I take my leave.

Hagyes: …uhm…goodbye…?

Seygah: Bye!

Seygah erases Hagyes entirely, he goes away. Seygah travels throughout stories and cosmologies, having fun all to himself. He sees someone, or something, keeping pace with him.

Seygah: Well, hello there, Un.
