Chapter 140 - Blessings Market

The Blessings Market had started even before the sun rose. The first stalls to open were those of the fish vendors, who brought their freshest catch. Meat and other perishables followed suit. Students and faculty crowded around the bustling alleys of the wet market. Each row was lined with bright lights and loud people hawking for patrons.

Claude and Len walked behind Eugene and Irving. They set out earlier than the other wolves since Irving still had to cook breakfast. Most students cooked for themselves, but the wolves followed a hierarchy. No one knew of their real nature, but they figured Irving 'volunteered'.

The bright lights shone on Len's sleepy face. He didn't want to wake up this early, but he didn't want to miss more time with Claude. He had been taking exams seriously and then wiping out hunter camps all over the region. Last night, he was even three cities away.
