Eugene turned to Claude, eyes widening in horror. "Hunters? Like… the same people who shot Marvin? Shit… they got one of theirs killed?"
Grave disbelief wrapped Eugene. He only knew that the middle-aged man was one of those despicable hunters. It was hard to think that they just marched right in without guards. He even heard that Sean was supposed to be with Claude if they wanted to engage. Thinking about this little quest, Eugene felt a little sick and frustrated.
He covered his mouth with a hand. "Fuck, Len should have realized it. Damn, why did he let you find out like this? He could have told you, right? Wait, he must be so fucking angry, too. He might be losing his marbles right now. He just didn't want to show you. That ass has too much pride."
Claude glanced at Eugene, finding a slight reason to chuckle at the joke. "He's their leader. A lot of people draw confidence from his pride. I draw confidence from his pride."
