Zoe's POV
The first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes was how perfectly tucked in I was. The blanket was fluffy, warm, and securely wrapped around me—like someone had taken care to make sure I was comfortable.
Sunlight filtered softly through the transparent cream drapes, casting a golden hue across the room. For a second, everything felt… strangely peaceful. No nightmares. No tear-stained pillows. No tangled sheets wrapped around my legs like evidence of a restless night.
Something felt off.
Before I could gather my thoughts, a sharp pain sliced through my skull. I winced and clutched my head, groaning softly. It came again—stronger this time—like a blade splitting my brain in half.
"What's this headache?"
I blinked hard, trying to sit up but my muscles protested. My arms trembled from the effort, and a strange chill crept up my spine, followed by a wave of nausea that made me pause a moment.
