Zoe's POV
Like Ashley said, the Ross home was officially a parent-free zone this weekend. Technically, Elizabeth was around, but she wasn't exactly enforcing rules. If anything, she brought a refreshing, almost chaotic energy with her—like a gust of wind that swept the tension right out of the house.
That afternoon, she stood barefoot on the porch in oversized sunglasses and a wide-brimmed sunhat, clapping her hands like a spirited camp counselor.
"Alright, everyone outside!" she declared, voice full of enthusiasm. "Let's have some fun! Who loves fun? I don't know about you, but I do!"
Madison was most excited, she bolted out the door in her swimsuit, her wet ponytail swinging behind her.
"Zoe!" she squealed, waving both arms like she couldn't wait another second.
