Brandon's POV
I stepped out and didn't find Chloe, nor did I find Seth.
It was as if they both vanished into thin air leaving no trace but the noise outside the bar, the shuffle of shoes and murmurs that echoed down the corridor. My pulse kicked, faster and sharper than I wanted to admit. One second Chloe had just walked out that door, and the next—she was gone.
I wondered where she'd be. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I caught sight of her.
Or at least someone who looked like her. Same build, red hair catching the light. She slipped through a heavy glass door at the end of the hall. Without thinking,I followed. I pushed through the flow of people, weaving between them as they carried on with their own business, oblivious to the urgency in my steps.
