Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 The Brother of the Two Sisters

This story begins on nice sunny day where we find a unicorn named Twilight Sparkle heading for her study to look up information after read a book while enjoying the sun. Upon find the information she was looking for Twilight would discover a loom threat that has been a thousand years in the making leading to her to send a letter to her mentor Princess Celestia to inform her about the coming threat. In the throne room the letter Twilight just sent to Princess Celestia who would read the letter her student had sent her but in reality had already know about the coming threat for a thousand years as well as another who was in the throne room along with Princess Celestia. Princess Celestia then writes her response to her student letter which would someone would notice then ask Princess Celestia if she is sure that her plan for the coming threat is going to work to which Celestia replies by saying I am believe Twilight can do but only if she lets friendship into her heart to which the person in the room would say and what if Twilight fails what is your plan then to which Princess Celestia remained silent for a moment but then says with a she won't fail. Princess Celestia's answer would cause the person who happens to be her advisor would say do you honestly have blind faith in a single plan or person really a wise move to take. Before Celestia could say anything her advisor would say I already have a plan to deal with the coming threat all I need is for you to give the order to which Princess Celestia would reply by saying your were always pragmatic Lorien. The now named Lorien then leaves the throne to prepare himself for the coming threat but not before turn to Princess Celestia and says I do trust you Celestia but my responsibility is the protection of our people to which Celestia replies by saying a somber tone I know. After leaving the throne room Lorien he would meet up with some ponies who happen to be part of the Equestrian Defence Force which is the secret military of Equestria which is only know to Lorien and Celestia who was there when it was founded a thousand years age which she did objected but the one who found the Equestrian Defence Force reminded her that Equestria needs a way to defend itself from all future threats lead to Celestia and the Defence Force's founder to debate for days about it but eventually she had to agree with him even though she didn't like but the founder assured that it was necessary and one day would understand. On the day of the Summer Sun Celebration Lorien would arrive an hour before the event began with his troop then ordering them to get into position snd wait until they receive orders to move from their positions. As the Summer Sun Celebration began Lorien would enter city hall where everyone in Ponyville was gathering Lorien would enter the hall while using an invisibility spell in order to sneak into the hall then notices that the signs of the return of Nightmare Moon who would appear exactly when Lorien expect her to arrive. After appearing Nightmare Moon would begin to talk about how she has missed her beloved subjects to which one of the ponies specifically a mare with a rainbow coloured mane asking who the strangers is and what she has done with Princess Celestia to Nightmare Moon answers by saying I am not royal enough don't any of you know who I am to which Lorien would be the one to say you are someone I can never forget, Lorien's statement would cause Nightmare Moon to say well it appears someone knows who I am but I must say I didn't think I would see you here but I deal with you later then return to asking the pony's does my crown no long count since I was imprisoned a thousand years ago do you not recall the legend or seen the signs to which Twilght would say I did your the mare in the moon Nightmare Moon shocking everyone but Lorien and his troops then Nightmare Moon would say well well well someone else who remembers me then you also know why I am here to which Lorien would answer your here to bring eternal night. After Lorien had explained why Nightmare Moon was here Nightmare Moon would then say I hope you enjoyed this day because it was your last for now the night will last forever. After her declaration Mayor Mare would order the royal guard to seize Nightmare Moon know that she is the only one who knows where princess Celestia is which the guards try to seize her but Nightmare Moon she was to strong then as she was about to leave Lorien would state that you won't succeed Nightmare Moon there will be those who would stop you myself included to which Nightmare Moon would simply say we shall see then would disappear in a cloud of smoke. After Nightmare Moon had left Lorien would order his troops to safeguard the people and contact the other troop in Canterlot and the other cities throughout Equestria to which the troops would say yes sir then would leave to complete the task they have been give while Lorien would watch his sister's student, while he did trust Celestia he had alway been conscious which is why Lorien is watch Twilight Sparkle to see if his sister was right. As Lorien watches Twilight Sparkle he would see that she finds a way to defeat Nightmare Moon but that would mean she would have to enter the Everfree forest which she would but not alone she would be accompanied by five mares then would follow the six mares into the forest to a place he hasn't been to for a long time. Lorien would watch the six mares go through five trial with five of the mares showing five of the six keys needed to defeat Nightmare Moon but the question was if Twilight Sparkle could discover the six key and if she fails then Lorien would intervene but he is hoping it doesn't come to that. Lorien would bare witness as the Elements of Harmony find new wielders ones that will bring out their true potential which would be used to purge the darkness within Nightmare Moon's heart which would cause Lorien to become relived that he did have to get involved because he didn't want to fight her. After the light fades Lorien see that elements have now taken the form of the mane six cutie marks then light from sun would then shine into room the mane six are currently in then princess Celestia would then appear with five of the mane six would bow while Twilight Sparkle approaching her teacher with joy with Celestia embracing her student then would congratulate Twilight Sparkle stating that I knew that you could do it to which Twilight would ask what her teacher mean to which princess Celestia explain she knew of Nightmare Moon's return and that you had what you need to defeat her but not until you let true friendship into your heart then suddenly Lorien would speak and say indeed causing everyone to turn their heads in the direction leading to Celestia to become surprised while the mane six thinking the same thing with Twilight being the one to ask you were the one from earlier but who are you to which Lorien would introduce himself as Equestria's minister of defence shocking the mane six then Lorien would explain that he followed the six of them in the events that they fail to defeat Nightmare Moon I would step in and end the threat by any means necessary. Upon hearing this everyone would think about what Lorien just said and it would be Celestia who would ask Lorien if he would have killed Nightmare Moon to which he answers by saying I would have killed her if I had no choice but I am glad I didn't have, now the it's time for another to open their heart to true friendship leading to princess Celestia to walk to Nightmare Moon but would call her by her true name, princess Luna it has been a thousand years since we have seen you like this the time has come to put our differences aside we were meant to rule together little sister will you accept my friendship. After a moment Luna would accept Celestia's friendship then apologizes for what happen then says I have missed you so much sister to which Celestia saying the same thing, during the sister's heart felt reunion everyone were moved by the two sisters moment everyone but Lorien who had a down look which no one seem to notice. Later at Ponyvile everyone celebrates the return of princess Celestia and welcoming princess Luna while Twilight Sparkle was a bit down because she believes that she will have to say goodbye to her new friends which princess Celestia would notice then would give Twilight the assignment of learn everything about friendship and report back to her in her new home of Ponyvile which would cause Twilight to become overjoyed as well as Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity all the will Lorien the only one not celebrating which Luna would be the one to notice this and approach him and ask you alright Lorien to which he answers by saying I'm fine to which Luna would a gain a look of someone who doesn't believe and would say Lorien I may have been gone for a thousand years but I still know well enough to know that you are hiding something Lorien come it's me you have always been able to talk to me and Celestia to which Lorien would reply by saying maybe in past but both Celestia and I aren't the same people have been for a thousand years causing Celestia who had just overheard their conversation would interject by saying what is that suppose to mean to which Lorien would state you know exactly what I mean but it seems I have to spell it out then Celestia would then realize what Lorien was talking about then says is that what this is about. Twilight, her new friends and everyone else would hear the conversation between Celestia, Luna and Lorien and would pay attention to what they are talking about then they would hear Celestia say you still feel guilty because you believed that you failed Luna a thousand years ago to which Luna hearing this would say Lorien what happened a thousand years ago wasn't your fault I am the one who let the bitterness in my heart take me over which lead to my banishment to which Lorien would responded by saying yes but I fail to stop you from becoming Nightmare Moon if only I was there for you to which Luna would say that's not true you had the responsibility protecting Equestria's boarders but when you were of duty you made the most of the spare time we had together then Celestia would interject by saying Luna is right what happen that night was my fault. Upon hearing everyone but Luna and Lorien would shocked to hear the ruler blame herself for something then Lorien would state we all made choices in our lives some good some bad and we all have to live with consequences of those choices to which both Celestia and Luna then Luna would say you are right that we can't return to how things were in the past but we can try to create something new from what we have learned from our choices and I will need someone to help me readjust and I hope you and Celestia would be able to help to which Lorien would say while both me and Celestia have responsibilities we can make time for you with Celestia interjecting and say yes the both us can you help readjust to this time and we can be a family again as it should be then Twilight Sparkle would then speak and ask her Celestia who is Lorien and who is he to you and princess Luna to which Celestia would simply say Lorien it is time for everyone to know to which Twilight would say know what to which they would soon find out. After Celestia told Lorien it was time he would remove the cloak covering his body revealing something that would shack the world to it's core. After removing his cloak everyone would shock everyone in Ponyvile as well as all of Equestria and the rest of the world now that Lorien ha just revealed himself as an alicorn and would shellshocked when Celestia reveals that Lorien is both hers and Luna's older brother and the minister of defence to which Lorien explains that he is in charge of all of Equestria's military operations and responsible for make sure Equestria's sovereignty is protected. Upon this reveal Mayor Mare would be the one to ask princess Celestia why did you keep the fact Lorien was a alicorn from the people and why is this the first time any of us are hearing about Equestria's military as well as keeping the fact that you have an older brother to which Lorien would be the to explain starting with the reason why no hears anything about the military is because all military bases are station on Equestria's boarders and as for the reason we hid the fact I am an alicorn and Celestia's and Luna's order brother was my choice because I felt I could do more if no one knew who I was plus I didn't want people to treat me like Celestia more like someone who has earned their trust and respect. Upon hearing Lorien's reason for keeping his identity a secret everyone would accept him explanation with Celestia and Luna accepting it for now but they can sense that their brother is still hiding something and will one day find out what.
