At that time He himself didn't know why he decided to help her who was a complete stranger to her, especially at the time when he finally got his freedom

Unfortunately for them, none escaped and after dealing with them which was easy for him, he moved towards Shizuka who was tied up
He expected her to look at him with fear but he was wrong, her eyes had a look of someone filled with gratitude
After he untied her, he wanted to go away but when he was able to go, his hand was grabbed by her making him confused
Shizuka that time was crying but rather than sadness, she was really glad that nothing happened to her which she thought would happen
She honestly lost her hope and really submitted herself to her fate but now he comes to her like her new hope
Kaneki who saw her crying decided to wait till she stopped crying because he thinks she must be crying since she must be very scared considering thats the worst thing that happened to a girl
Shizuka after she had calmed down a little, decided to take a look at her saviour's Face but as soon as she looked at him
'Pretty' She inwardly said to her mind as she was totally astonished by his one red eye which seemed like a precious gemstone under the moonlight
Not only that as she feels like his face is carefully crafted by Gods themselves, as everything was perfect
But there are a few things which bothered her like why his one eye is like that as well what those 'things' were which grew from his back and lastly not to mention his pale white skin
This is all about his body but the things he is wearing also raise more questions in her mind like why he is in tattered clothes and why there are broken chains around his wrists and ankles
But she didnt ask him any questions at all because at that moment all questions were meaningless as all that mattered was that he saved her
He thought she would let him go after she calmed down but unfortunately, he was very wrong, as she didnt let him go at all Rather she even managed to convince him to live with her
As days went by, Shizuka started to get attached to him, since Kaneki wasn't like any other men at all making him more pleasant in her eyes
Due to her past experiences, she is sensitive to people's gazes on her even though she can now ignore them doesn't mean she has stopped feeling those dirty stares
But unlike others, Kaneki doesn't have grazes like other men who always look at women lustfully, his gaze was pure unlike others
She just knows Kaneki doesn't have any bad thoughts about her making him glad and what's more, he was a very great chef and caretaker
The food he made was always great but she always felt weird when he didn't eat himself at all, as he did was to drink coffee which was too weird
And one day she asked Kaneki this to Kaneki since it's not about her curiosity but rather she was worried about his health as she thinks if he needs something different to eat then she can buy it
But to her surprise, he told her that he couldn't eat food as the only thing he could do was to drink coffee, and at first, she found this ridiculous
But soon she started to believe this as days passed, she started to notice how his body didnt change even after absolutely nothing at all
If he were a normal person then he should have become like a skeleton but he was the same as usual, making her believe what he told her
She has no idea how his body works like that and she also didnt ask him more questions about this as she was glad he was okay
And even though his face appeared cold or almost like he hated her but somehow by looking at his eyes, she knew he didn't hate her at all
Not to mention she can understand if he didnt like it then he has more than enough power to go away or even hurt but he never did that
Moreover, he also went with her childish attitude and behaviour, making him more ideal in her mind As time went by, the kidnapping she used to think was unfortunate started to become fortunate in her mind
Because it wasn't for that then she couldn't have met Kaneki and she would have him now, even though she still has many questions about him
But somehow she can understand that even if she asks him these questions then he also won't answer her Which is the reason she is waiting got him to tell the answers himself when the time is right for him
She never really believed in love or anything whatsoever, especially after what happened to her parents, but now living with him made her realise what love is
