Chapter 32 - Soul Sovereign Ning Tian (Part 2)

The red and green glows came from Wu Feng and Nanmen Yun'er respectively. Nanmen Yun'er was graceful in posture. Though her martial soul was a beast type, it did not make her look ferocious and terrifying like Liang Siyuan. Instead, a pair of green wings resembling those of a moth sprouted silently from her back.

Wu Feng, on the other hand, was far more eye-catching. As her Red Dragon martial soul possessed her body, her already curvaceous figure swelled further, to the point that her school uniform was torn apart, bursting into shredded cloth and scattering in all directions.

The male students watching nearly had their eyeballs pop out, especially the senior ones. All of them craned their necks and stared without blinking, afraid to miss this glorious sight. But they were doomed to be disappointed—Wu Feng knew exactly what kind of situation she would be in and had long made preparations. After the uniform ripped, what was revealed underneath was a skintight bodysuit, highly elastic and completely intact.

"Hah!" Seeing Liang Siyuan already charging in, Wu Feng didn't hesitate and swung her left arm to counter. Her martial soul was a fire-type Red Dragon, and the transformation caused by dragon-type martial souls is referred to as dragonification. For example, Beibei's Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon transforms his left arm into a claw. In Wu Feng's case, dragonification manifested as scales—her left hand, entire left arm, and even the left side of her face were now covered in fiery red scales.

"Thud, thud, thud!"

Both retreated six steps. Wu Feng suddenly raised her head, her eagle-like eyes locked onto Liang Siyuan. She remained outwardly calm, but inwardly she knew she had taken a slight loss from that head-on clash. Still, she had a stubborn nature. After a brief moment, the numbness in her left arm faded. This time, without waiting for Liang Siyuan to move, Wu Feng launched her own attack.

On the other side, Nanmen Yun'er was already locked in combat with Liang Jingjing. Nanmen Yun'er was fast, and her dodging movements left afterimages trailing in her wake.

Liang Jingjing's combat style, however, was quite unique. Five giant pancakes nearly two meters in diameter floated around her, four positioned in the cardinal directions—east, west, south, and north—with the fifth suspended above. All five pancakes spun rapidly around her, forming what looked like an upside-down water jar from a distance.

Nanmen Yun'er launched consecutive attacks, but Liang Jingjing's defense was watertight, offering no openings, which made Nanmen Yun'er furious. Her strength lay mainly in speed, while her attack power was somewhat lacking. Liang Jingjing's purely defensive strategy just happened to perfectly counter her. What Nanmen Yun'er didn't know was that Liang Jingjing herself was also having a tough time. Her pancake martial soul was originally food-type. It was only after she stubbornly absorbed the soul ring of a Soul Beast, the Mystic Tortoise, that it changed in nature and gained some defensive power. But being a food-type martial soul, the defense was inherently weak. Though it seemed like Nanmen Yun'er had made no progress on the surface, in truth, Liang Jingjing was consuming a large amount of soul power to rapidly repair her martial soul.

Seeing that she couldn't break through the damn pancakes for now, Nanmen Yun'er simply gave up on two of them and lunged straight toward Liang Siyuan. But Liang Jingjing was no pushover and had anticipated this. Two pancakes flew at Nanmen Yun'er at high speed.

Sensing the rush of wind behind her, Nanmen Yun'er quickly twisted her body to dodge. The next second, the high-speed spinning pancakes grazed past her, the gust of air blowing her long hair into disarray. She turned around and deeply felt how difficult this half-assed defense-type Soul Master was to deal with. Originally, her plan was to abandon Liang Jingjing and team up with Wu Feng to quickly finish off Liang Siyuan. Then they could easily handle whoever was left. But now it was clear Liang Jingjing wasn't stupid—she likely wouldn't give her the chance to attack Liang Siyuan.

The battle fell into a stalemate. Liang Siyuan and Wu Feng were both power-attack type Soul Masters, and neither would back down. They tacitly refrained from using soul skills, instead opting for brutal, bare-fisted combat, trading blow for blow.

Nanmen Yun'er, unable to attack Liang Siyuan, returned to clash with Liang Jingjing again. Though she couldn't break those damn pancakes in the short term, she noticed that Liang Jingjing was burning soul power far faster than she was. Since she couldn't win quickly, she decided to maintain the stalemate and exhaust the opponent. In this regard, she was confident—aside from the disparity in soul power consumption, her cultivation level already surpassed Liang Jingjing. Not to mention, their logistical support wasn't something Liang Jingjing's side could match.

Ning Ruoxue stood behind Liang Jingjing, protected by the five rotating pancakes. Otherwise, Nanmen Yun'er would've already made her the first target. That's the tragic part of being an auxiliary-type Soul Master. Without using soul tools, they're always forced to hide behind teammates, no matter how talented they are—just sidekicks at best. But now wasn't the time for Ning Ruoxue to dwell on that. Seeing Liang Jingjing sweating on her forehead, she slightly raised her left hand, lifting the pagoda she held, and softly chanted a soul incantation:

"The Seven Treasures are named; First: Soul."

With that, a ray of multicolored light shot out from the pagoda and landed on Liang Jingjing.

As the light entered her, Liang Jingjing felt her soul power increase out of nowhere. Her body, like a drought-stricken field receiving rain, felt an immense sense of comfort. She became energized, as if injected with pure adrenaline.

"Hmph, you think we don't have support too? Miss!"Nanmen Yun'er snorted coldly and turned to shout at Ning Tian, the meaning crystal clear.

Ning Tian nodded slightly and extended her left hand, atop which a glazed pagoda slowly rotated.

"The Seven Treasures are named; First: Strength."

A ray of colorful light burst from the pagoda and landed directly on Wu Feng, who was locked in combat with Liang Siyuan.

Although Wu Feng's soul power was one level higher than Liang Siyuan, she had one natural disadvantage—she was a woman. The innate physical strength difference between men and women meant that even with slightly higher cultivation, she couldn't gain the upper hand. In fact, Liang Siyuan's rich combat experience allowed him to suppress her completely.

"Yo, this junior sister's got some real spine—I like it."

"Really? Using your own weakness to fight someone's strength, charging in knowing you'll lose—that's not brave, that's brainless. Big boobs, no brains. The ancients didn't lie."

"What kind of nonsense is that? Our cultivation is all about defying fate. If we retreat whenever we face a strong enemy, why bother training? Cultivation is like rowing upstream—if you don't move forward, you fall behind."

The two students who had earlier mocked her exchanged glances, then bowed slightly to the speaker.

"Thank you for the lesson, Teacher Wang. We understand now."
