Volstagg and the others were all experienced fighters.
Facing a powerful opponent like Madam Gao, they were well aware of their own advantages.
In addition to their strength, they had numbers on their side.
That's right—they intended to overwhelm Madam Gao by sheer force of numbers.
Don't blame them for ganging up on her. As warriors who had crawled off the battlefield countless times, they believed that as long as victory could be achieved, any tactic was fair game.
With a roar, Volstagg leaped high into the air, wielding a massive axe, and slashed downward toward Madam Gao.
Volstagg was the oldest among the four fighters. Due to his obesity, his speed, stamina, and agility weren't on par with the others. However, his raw strength was far superior in comparison.
Additionally, Volstagg had an unusual advantage—his weight. At times, he could even increase it, becoming so heavy that only the strongest of Asgardians could lift him.
This tremendous mass, combined with his strength and the weight of the axe, made his airborne strike devastating.
The resulting force might have been enough to smash Madam Gao flat.
But Madam Gao wasn't a fool.
She clearly knew her disadvantages—few allies and limited physical strength.
Facing Volstagg's ferocious assault, she had no intention of meeting it head-on. Instead, she used psychokinesis on her legs, drastically increasing her speed. The Madam Gao who had been strolling leisurely just moments ago now moved so fast that she barely escaped the attack radius by a few meters.
Boom!!
Volstagg's axe slammed into the ground with immense power.
The resulting shockwave exploded outward. The concrete floor couldn't withstand the impact—gravel flew in all directions, and the floor sank several feet as cracks spread like a spiderweb.
Having dodged the blow, Madam Gao now faced Hogan and Sif.
Their combined attacks were no weaker than Volstagg's. Sif, in particular, despite being a woman, had remarkable physical prowess and excelled in both unarmed combat and swordsmanship.
But Madam Gao had no intention of engaging in a prolonged fight.
She knew the odds—four against one.
As Sif attempted to press the attack, Madam Gao, who had been dueling Hogan using refined sword techniques, narrowed her eyes and instantly focused her spiritual energy.
Sif, preparing to join the clash, suddenly felt a devastating psychic attack slam into her chest like a hammer.
Her chest tightened, her vision darkened, and the sword slipped from her grasp. Blood spurted from her mouth as she was flung backward like a leaf in the wind, crashing into a nearby container.
One of the four Asgardian fighters was temporarily out of commission.
Poor Sif, the Goddess of War, was incapacitated by Madam Gao before she had the chance to fully unleash her true might.
However, while Asgard had lost one warrior, Madam Gao hadn't escaped unscathed.
That last attack had drained nearly 50% of her mental energy. With only half of her power left to face the remaining three Asgardians, she was clearly being stretched thin.
"Sif!!"
"Damn it!"
Volstagg and the others were furious. Their combat momentum surged, and they raised their weapons to resume their assault on Madam Gao.
Meanwhile, watching the battle unfold below—
"How is it?"
Blaine ruffled Gali's small head. "Is this scene fun?"
"Uh-huh."
Gali watched the fight with rapt attention, nodding her head like a pecking chick, completely ignoring Blaine's hand resting on her hair.
To her, the battle seemed almost trivial—none of them could even destroy a single city.
Still, she found it entertaining.
Blaine figured that someone like Galactus would definitely probably find it boring.
As for Gali...
She was still young. While her age might seem frightening by Earth standards, by cosmic or Galactus' standards, little Gali was still just a child.
Watching the Four Warriors of Asgard battle Madam Gao—
—was probably like a child on Earth watching ants fight. Weak and insignificant, but oddly fascinating.
Naturally, that interest would probably vanish once she grew up.
But for now, this 'little ant' battle was amusing to her.
...
"Then let's keep watching."
Blaine smiled gently, his brows slightly raised.
He had no intention of interfering. Tonight, he'd simply manipulated these five into a fight and got to enjoy the spectacle. It was more entertaining than a movie.
As the battle raged on, the spectators watched intently.
Thor, however, was in a different situation.
As soon as he stormed into Warehouse No. 3, he was ambushed by a man—the same white guard who had been with Madam Gao earlier.
Fortunately, the man was alone and unarmed. Thor had nothing to fear.
Relying on his expert battle instincts, Thor narrowly claimed victory.
...
"Huff… Huff…"
He gasped for breath.
Thor looked at Mjolnir on the table. His eyes lit up with joy and excitement as he stepped forward and gripped the handle, trying to lift it.
But a moment later, his expression changed.
The familiar power didn't return.
He couldn't lift Mjolnir at all!
"What's going on? What's happening?"
"Why can't I lift it?"
Thor stared at his hands in disbelief, muttering to himself.
At that moment—
Boom!!
A muffled thunderclap roared overhead. The wind surged, quickly drawing Thor's attention. He forgot his doubts and leaped out of Warehouse No. 3, gazing toward the sky.
"Tsk. Here comes the troublemaker."
Seated atop Warehouse No. 3, Blaine noticed the rolling clouds and the 'channel' slowly opening in the sky. A glimmer of surprise flashed in his eyes.
"Looks like this game is about to get more interesting."
Meanwhile, Gali didn't care about the spectacle—she was simply growing more delighted.
Boom!
A loud explosion echoed as an enormous robot with glowing flame-patterned lines on its face descended from the portal and slammed into the ground.
The impact shocked everyone around. Even the four Asgardian warriors and Madam Gao paused their fight, their eyes drawn toward the new arrival.
